In the Lingyuan Realm, the the Yun Family's servant quarters lay at the outskirts of the family estate, shrouded in darkness as ominous clouds gathered overhead. The distant rumble of thunder hinted at an impending storm. The dilapidated houses swayed in the wind, and a damp, oppressive atmosphere hung in the air. This was the dwelling place of the lowest-ranking servants of the the Yun Family, a place rarely visited by anyone, reserved for those deemed "useless" by the family—those who toiled under the harshest conditions. 0

Yun Yichen curled up in a rundown little room within the servant quarters, his frail body wrapped tightly in a thin, coarse cloth garment. His face was as pale as paper, beads of sweat forming on his forehead, clearly enduring some form of pain. Since childhood, his health had been fragile; unlike other cultivators, he could not absorb the Spiritual Energy of heaven and earth to practice cultivation and struggled even with basic physical tasks. The elders of the family had long regarded him as a waste, too lazy to even mention his name. 0

“Yun Yichen, you useless brat! Slacking off again!” A coarse shout shattered the night’s silence as a burly middle-aged man stomped into the room, wielding a thick wooden stick with an expression filled with disdain and contempt. 0

Yun Yichen looked up, a flicker of defiance crossing his eyes before he quickly lowered his head and murmured, “I’m not slacking off; I just don’t feel well…” 0

“Not feeling well?” The man sneered coldly, bringing the stick down mercilessly on Yun Yichen’s back. “You worthless fool! What good are you alive if you can’t even cultivate Spiritual Energy? Keeping you is just a waste of resources!” 0

The blow sent Yun Yichen crashing to the ground, sharp pain forcing him to cough violently, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth. His already weak body felt as if it were spinning out of control; he feared he might faint at any moment. Yet there was no hint of submission in his gaze—only an indescribable resilience. 0

“I won’t always be useless…” Yun Yichen whispered softly, his voice barely audible but filled with undeniable determination. 0

Hearing this, the middle-aged man’s disgust deepened. He kicked Yun Yichen hard and spat, “A waste is a waste; you’ll never turn your life around! Do you think you’ll ever amount to anything? Dream on!” 0

With that, he turned and left, leaving Yun Yichen alone on the ground to endure both physical pain and mental torment. 0

As night deepened, silence enveloped the servant quarters. Struggling to rise from the floor, Yun Yichen wiped away the blood from his mouth and slowly approached the window. Moonlight filtered through the broken window frame onto his face, illuminating a pale yet resolute expression. His eyes sparkled with complex emotions—both defiance against fate and longing for a better future. 0

“I won’t always be useless…” he repeated softly to himself as if making a vow. 0

He knew he could not continue living like this. Everyone in the family viewed him as a burden, offering him not even the most basic respect. He had tried countless times to change his fate but had failed each time. His body could not absorb Spiritual Energy; he could not cultivate or even manage basic physical labor. Yet he had never given up hope because he knew that within him lay a special power—Lingwen. 0

Lingwen was a mysterious force hidden within heaven and earth that only a select few could perceive and cultivate. Since childhood, Yun Yichen had been able to see these Lingwen; they were woven throughout all things in nature like fine threads connecting the entire world. However, he had never revealed this ability to anyone because he understood that exposing it could lead to dire consequences. 0

“Perhaps this is my chance to change my fate…” Yun Yichen thought resolutely as determination filled his gaze. 0

He decided that tonight he would attempt once more to enter the family’s forbidden area. This place was said to be shrouded in mystery, containing relics and cultivation manuals left behind by ancient powerhouses. Although entry was strictly prohibited by family decree, Yun Yichen felt he could no longer afford to hesitate. He knew that if he did not take action now, he would likely spend his entire life languishing in these servant quarters. 0

As night fell silent around him, Yun Yichen quietly pushed open his door and stealthily made his way toward the forbidden area. Located deep within the the Yun Family estate and surrounded by powerful wards that ordinary people could not approach, it seemed impossible to enter. Yet Yun Yichen relied on his perception of Lingwen to find a hidden path that allowed him to bypass most of these barriers. 0

At the entrance of the forbidden area stood an ancient stone tablet covered in intricate runes that exuded an air of mystery. Standing before it made Yun Yichen’s heart race with anxiety; he knew that once he stepped inside, there would be no turning back. Nevertheless, after taking a deep breath, he resolutely stepped into the forbidden area. 0

Inside was dimly lit and filled with an ancient decaying aura. Yun Yichen moved cautiously forward with each step taken carefully; he understood that danger lurked everywhere within this place where one misstep could cost him his life. Yet rather than fear, anticipation surged within him. 0

Suddenly, his foot landed on a loose stone slab that shifted beneath him with a slight tremor. Startled, Yun Yichen quickly retreated a few steps as the slab slowly moved aside to reveal a dark opening below. From within came an unusual wave of energy that seemed to beckon him closer. 0

After hesitating for a moment, Yun Yichen ultimately decided to enter through the opening. He descended through a narrow passageway leading downwards until reaching an ancient stone chamber at its end. In its center lay an old jade pendant intricately inscribed with complex Lingwen radiating mysterious light. 0

“This is…” A jolt ran through Yun Yichen as he reached out to touch the pendant; warmth surged into his body at that moment, instantly dispelling all fatigue and pain. 0

“Kid, you’ve finally arrived,” an ancient yet gentle voice echoed within Yun Yichen’s mind. 0

Yun Yichen was taken aback and quickly asked, "Who are you?" 0
"I am the owner of this jade pendant, the ancient powerful being Yun Yifeng. I have been trapped within this pendant for a thousand years, and today I finally await you," the voice conveyed a hint of relief. 0
"Yun Yifeng... you are an ancient powerful being?" Yun Yichen was utterly shocked. 0
"Indeed. I sensed that you possess a special Lingwen within you, which is an exceptional talent for cultivation. Come with me, and I will teach you how to cultivate," Yun Yifeng's voice held a note of anticipation. 0
Yun Yichen nodded, a flicker of hope igniting within him. Perhaps this was his chance to change his destiny. 0
"Remember, the power of Lingwen exceeds your imagination. As long as you can master it, you can become a true powerhouse," Yun Yifeng's voice gradually faded away, leaving behind a mysterious set of cultivation methods in Yun Yichen's mind. 0
As the night deepened, Yun Yichen slowly rose to his feet, his eyes sparkling with an unprecedented light. 0
"From today on, I am no longer useless!" he murmured, his voice filled with determination. 0
