In just a few minutes, several wizards had successfully increased their magical power, and one of them opened his eyes in ecstatic disbelief: "Is it really possible? Can it truly be done?"
"Me too! I succeeded as well! I can really increase my magical power through meditation!"
The excitement spread like wildfire, with group after group of wizards exclaiming their success in meditation, shattering the previously tranquil atmosphere.
This commotion forced some wizards who had yet to achieve success to open their eyes; the noisy environment made it impossible for them to meditate. They didn’t mind much, though. As wizards blessed with magical power, they had longer lifespans and plenty of time to practice at their own pace. As long as the Meditation Method was genuine, they could afford to take their time and choose to listen to the experiences of those who had succeeded.
Inquilinar also opened his eyes, feeling a mix of emotions as he gazed at Xu Lie on the high platform, taking in the youthful face that seemed overly young compared to his own: a genius!
Beck was interrupted from his meditation by the noise and, curious about his teacher's praise, asked, "Teacher! Did you not succeed in meditation either?"
Inquilinar quickly raised a hand to cover his ears, looking slightly annoyed at his little apprentice. Just days ago, he had thought about showing off this little apprentice to several old friends, but now, comparing him to Xu Lie made the difference too stark. The former had created the Meditation Method at such a young age, while the latter was merely steadfast in his pursuit of magic. Plus, Beck's loud voice had been incessant; he had repeated himself several times without being heard. It was hard to boast when faced with such a comparison.
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Inquilinar tapped Beck on the forehead. "I consider myself successful in meditation. If you have questions, just ask me."
After all, he was a Grand Mage; how could he possibly fail at meditation?
"Oh! That's amazing, Teacher!" Beck didn't mind; after spending so much time together, he had grown accustomed to his teacher tapping him on the head and didn’t take it to heart.
Seizing the moment while his apprentice was distracted, Inquilinar casually flicked his fingers, sending a tiny spark flying toward Reiner's ear. It silently exploded beside him. "Reiner! Quick! Do you know how to succeed in meditation?"
Reiner blinked in surprise, an odd expression crossing his face. Was this something so simple that his old friend couldn’t figure it out?
"Haha! The interactions between the protagonist and the teacher always make me laugh."
"This comedic duo is where all the humor lies."
"Is the Meditation Method really that difficult? Inquilinar can't figure it out in such a short time?"
At that moment, Xu Lie was not paying attention to Inquilinar; instead, his gaze was firmly fixed on the seven wizards who had opened their eyes first and successfully meditated. The Meditation Method claimed to allow ordinary people to possess magical power while also considering aptitude and talent.
Those with great talent can meditate and gather magical power more quickly. Meditating for a day is more effective than meditating for several days for others.
Seizing the moment, Xu Lie proposed his educational philosophy, stating that one person cannot teach all students. He expressed his desire to invite the seven mages to serve as teachers at the school. This sparked a flurry of excitement among the audience and earned the respect of the other mages.
Before the seven invited mages could accept or decline, Xu Lie asked about their respective areas of expertise and interests in magic. He then presented seven different volumes of Magic Books, saying, "Consider this an advance payment for your services as teachers."
These books contained knowledge he had personally recorded at the Gate of Truth. In an instant, the vast square was filled with mages who were intently focused on the seven books. They had just finished reading the Meditation Method and had developed a strong belief in the Gate of Truth. Now, with these seven books originating from the Gate of Truth, every mage present felt a surge of interest—who could resist such temptation?
