The special effects in this show are quite impressive, with various magical elements that feel incredibly realistic. Just for the sake of the effects alone, it's worth following the series.
"I'm here for the Second Act, first!"
I actually find the daily interactions between Inquilinar and Beck to be quite amusing and interesting. At the end of the last episode, Inquilinar was seen taking Beck on a quest to find someone, all while demonstrating magic and providing lessons along the way. The warm teaching moments combined with the fantastical visuals of magic really capture the audience's interest, making them eager to tune in to the Second Act a week later.
For Inquilinar and Beck within Script World, they have visited three kingdoms over the past month. They rushed through their travels, hardly able to stay in one place for too long, missing out on many beautiful sights. Inquilinar promised that once the Exchange Conference is over, he would take Beck to fully appreciate the natural beauty around them. Beck, feeling no fatigue, happily agreed.
"Teacher, are we going over now?" Beck asked as he finished his morning routine and extinguished the campfire they had lit while camping outdoors with some water.
Inquilinar frowned slightly, wanting to train his apprentice: "How many times have I told you? You are already a magician! From now on, just disperse the fire elements to put out the fire!"
Beck chuckled sheepishly, showing his innocence: "It's just a habit! I'll remember next time!"
"Teacher, teacher! Let's hurry! Didn't Mr. Reiner say that we should try to start the Exchange Conference as early as possible within this month?" Beck couldn't contain his excitement. "I can't wait to see all the magicians from across the continent!"
Just mentioning it made Beck's eyes sparkle with enthusiasm. The idea of all the magicians gathering together to exchange ideas was simply wonderful! For someone like Beck, who had dreamed of being a magician since childhood, this gathering was something he longed for immensely.
Seeing his apprentice so excited made Inquilinar's previously furrowed brow relax a bit. Although his apprentice could be a bit naive at times, his unwavering passion for magic was commendable. During their last meeting with Reiner, things had been too rushed for him to show off properly. This time, he was determined to impress some old friends.
With that thought in mind, Inquilinar stopped scolding and instead took out a fixed teleportation plate. He had used this item many times before and was quite familiar with it; unfortunately, it couldn't be disassembled, so he hadn't been able to study it thoroughly.
After channeling some magical energy into it and making a gentle stroke across its surface, a portal opened up in midair.
Beck watched intently; even after seeing it dozens of times over the past month, he could never get enough of it. Each time felt just as wondrous and magical as ever.
"Let's go. You'll soon meet many old friends," Inquilinar said, no longer impatient but instead wearing a smile. "I'll take you to see the world."
"The Mage Exchange Conference," he continued, his words dripping with pride, "is something I put a lot of effort into organizing back in the day, and it has continued to this day."
Beck, lacking in social finesse, didn’t join in the flattery and instead expressed more interest in the Exchange Conference. "Is it held in the sky?!"
The thought of wizards floating in the air while exchanging ideas struck him as incredibly cool!
Inquilinar choked slightly on his words. How could their trio have had the ability to host a sky-high Exchange Conference back then?
Coughing to regain his composure, he put on a serious expression and said, "Beck, that's not right. You can't assume that all wizards are as impressive as I am."
