Slowly, the Alchemist God Envoy respectfully saw Xu Lie off. Xu Lie rubbed the Azure Blue Ring on his thumb and index finger, reflecting on his identity as an Outer God.
The Divine Era World, also a realm of magic, was said to have been created at great expense by a Senior Actor, who brought forth this pantheon of deities. This elevated the entire magical world's limits. After modifying the world extensively, it was likely that the Senior Actor provided considerable logistical support. Currently, there were not many Senior Actors, which is why this world was opened up as a travel destination.
Because of this, the gods in this realm were particularly enthusiastic towards Outer Gods. Take Xu Lie's visit to the Alchemist God as an example; he was merely here for a stroll, ostensibly on a sightseeing trip. Yet, the Alchemist God welcomed him with great enthusiasm and casually gifted him several pieces of Alchemy works. With the leading deity being so generous, many Alchemist God Envoys hurried to show their goodwill, offering various items.
This visit proved immensely profitable for Xu Lie, allowing him to recoup many times over what he had spent on the travel ticket. He couldn't help but feel that it was no wonder that such influential figures had so much to offer while keeping travel costs so low; it was purely a benefit for their fellow actors and company staff.
With nearly a month left to explore, Xu Lie decided he would make the most of his time. He turned to Tuha, who had been waiting outside and presented a token. With a wave, he tore through space and sent Xu Lie back to Lake Palace.
As Tuha watched Xu Lie return to the palace, he felt increasingly reflective. He considered himself an old hand in the divine realm and had hosted numerous Outer Gods before. However, it was his first time encountering an Outer God so eager for knowledge. This Knowledge God from another world must have made significant contributions worthy of being recorded in the annals of history.
Inspired by this encounter, Tuha couldn't help but question himself: Should he pursue more knowledge instead of spending his days idly, merely responsible for hosting Outer Gods?
Unbeknownst to Xu Lie, who was oblivious to Tuha's internal musings, he entered the main hall of the palace to find eighteen maids seated at desks like students in a classroom. They were all residents of the divine realm who had voluntarily come to serve an Outer God, hoping at least to bask in the glory of divinity.
Perhaps with a stroke of luck, one might gain the favor of the divine. But what was the outcome? They found themselves copying books instead! It was enough to make their heads spin.
There were reports of Magic Books being standard textbooks in the Divine Era World, mass-produced and easily obtainable from Xu Lie through Tuha. However, the Magic Book Scrolls were different; they were unique secret texts, available only in single copies, imbued with various protective enchantments. Eliminate had been mass-produced, but ordinary people could only dream of acquiring such rare tomes.
It was only because Xu Lie held the status of an Outer God that Tuha was able to procure them. Faced with such unique texts, the maids could only laboriously use Feather Pen Magic to transcribe them automatically. Although they didn’t have to write by hand, it was exhausting; this was nothing like their dreams of serving the divine!
Well, well. Seeing the maids working so diligently put Xu Lie in a good mood. He picked up his fishing rod and prepared to head out: “You all keep up the hard work.”
The maids looked at Xu Lie’s cheerful demeanor and suddenly felt a pang of bitterness. At the lake, Xu Lie was generous, pouring feed from a Ring—a gift from a certain Alchemist God Envoy. It was said to be particularly effective for fishing.
This was akin to baiting the area; after doing so, the water level rose slightly. Various Lingyu surged and scrambled for food, crowding together in a frenzy. Forget about fishing; one could probably scoop up a handful with ease.
Yet Xu Lie chose not to fish. Instead, he cast his line and casually took out his Magic Books to read and study, enjoying his leisure time.
Over the next two weeks, Xu Lie reaped considerable rewards as he continuously visited the Magic Potion God, Fate Goddess, Soul God, Goddess of Life, and even Death itself.
