After spending two hours thoroughly reviewing three scripts, Xu Lie ultimately chose "Cang Hai Jue." It was the simplest of the three, and at least he could grasp something from it, while the other two scripts were too limiting for his performance. 0

The plot of "Cang Hai Jue" is quite straightforward. It revolves around an ancient feudal dynasty where the Second Prince schemes to usurp the Crown Prince's position. Ironically, this foolish Second Prince chooses to win over martial arts sects instead of forming alliances. Coincidentally, the minor sect where the protagonist belongs refuses to serve the infamous Second Prince and ends up facing retaliation. 0

The Minor Sect cannot withstand the pressure, leading to the protagonist accidentally falling into a river, where he experiences a fortuitous encounter and learns powerful skills. As he re-enters the martial world, he navigates through the entangled relationships of good and evil while gradually aligning himself with the Crown Prince's camp to confront the Second Prince. Ultimately, he defeats the antagonist, the Second Prince, becoming a legendary hero who retreats to a life in seclusion. 0

After reading the detailed script, Xu Lie felt a tingling sensation on his scalp, as if someone were grinding a pound of Sichuan peppercorns against his forehead. What an absurd storyline! Was it really that cringeworthy? Why would a dignified Second Prince choose to mingle in the martial world? How could these martial sects possibly assist him in his bid for power? 0

He ignored the court officials and made no attempts to connect with military leaders or influential families within the feudal dynasty. Was this really all there was to his plan? Did he expect to seize power with the help of these martial artists? Could they help him govern a region or command soldiers? 0

Instead of relying on these martial experts, he might as well find a cool place to lie down and dream about everything. The protagonist is equally ridiculous—drifting along without any real thought, strong in martial arts yet lacking intelligence, merely pushed along by the plot without any personal initiative. 0

If the protagonist sought revenge for his sect against the Second Prince, it would be somewhat understandable. However, after gaining powerful skills, he initially does not confront the Second Prince but instead spends time wandering through the martial world. It is only after experiencing several incidents involving the Second Prince's attempts to recruit martial artists that he inadvertently crosses paths with him. 0

Xu Lie's first impression after finishing was that this script had potential. If it were not developed properly, it would likely receive poor ratings from audiences who might be forgiving enough just to give it an average score. 0

On a side note, in company scripts, actors have the freedom to choose any well-known roles from scripts or create their own characters and write their backgrounds. This includes playing lead roles; however, it is generally advised that company actors refrain from portraying male or female leads. 0
Due to the strict limitations, playing the main character is different from other roles. If one takes on the lead, they must adhere to the script's arrangements; the script dictates how the actor performs. There is no room for creative freedom, which is why people generally do not recommend taking on the main role. 0

Xu Lie never intended to play the protagonist; he was aiming for the role of the Second Prince. This kind of antagonist has a rich background, and as long as one uses their brain, there’s no reason they can’t succeed. 0

After selecting the script, Xu Lie didn’t rush to spend points on items. Instead, he chose to return to a Script World. The backdrop of Cang Hai Jue is set in ancient times with a low martial arts power system. In such a world, no matter how powerful one is, they could be taken down with a single shot. 0

Xu Lie thought about creating some firearms in this ancient setting. Even if he couldn’t produce firearms, he could at least search for scientific technologies that could be applied in ancient times. Surely not every technology could be bought from a company? 0

However, Xu Lie was disappointed. Upon entering the world of Not Allowed to Fall in Love and borrowing a networked computer from the Biological Laboratory, he was overwhelmed by the dense industrial knowledge that appeared in his search results. Forget modern firearms; even producing old matchlock guns would require a complete industrial system. 0
