According to reports from the Special Investigation Team, they recently conducted a precise operation through Zhou Dun's deployment, successfully capturing the perpetrators of the Ancheng Bombing Case and the Xingcheng Cold Storage Bombing Case.
Upon investigation, it was found that the perpetrator, Xu, was only a teenager and was still attending a high school in Ancheng before his arrest. His motive for the crimes stemmed from his sister being abused by her husband, whom she was matched with through genetic testing. In an attempt to change the Marriage Law through improper means, he committed three shocking bombing incidents, intending to disrupt and alter the foundational infrastructure of the Marriage Law.
According to Xu's confession, all the explosives used in the three bombing cases were self-taught and homemade, with no intention to harm anyone's safety. However, during the commission of his crimes and while fleeing, he did verbally threaten a student and a nurse.
After interrogation, Xu openly admitted to his criminal actions. The Special Investigation Team will transfer him to Ancheng Court six days later for legal proceedings.
As the news broadcast played, images of Xu Lie as a student were shown on screen. Despite his youthful appearance, there was an air of nonchalance about him.
Suddenly, a ceramic bowl fell from the dining table. It landed at a low height and did not break but scattered rice everywhere. The sudden noise startled the three people sitting around the table.
Among them, the middle-aged man who was cooking was particularly perceptive. Combining what he had heard with his daughter's reaction, he immediately concluded: "Youyou, is that your classmate?"
Lu Youyou seemed oblivious to her surroundings, staring blankly at the television with only one thought in her mind: Xu Lie had been caught.
"Youyou? Don’t scare your mother," Lu Ma said anxiously as she half-embraced her daughter. Lu Jie also cast a worried glance.
The embrace from her family finally snapped Lu Youyou back to reality: "Huh? Mom, I... I didn’t..."
Lu Ba’s face darkened: "You don’t look like you didn’t! If it weren’t for this Xu guy, you wouldn’t have been invited for tea by the Special Investigation Team!"
Mentioning this incident made Lu Ba angry; how heavy was his heart when his precious daughter was taken for questioning? Although in the end she wasn’t in any real trouble and even earned three days' wages along with an internship certificate that would benefit her future, he couldn’t help but worry. What parent isn’t like this?
Lu Youyou wanted to say something nice about Xu Lie but seeing her father’s anger and her mother’s and sister’s concern made all words stick in her throat; she couldn’t utter a single word.
After a moment of silence, Lu Youyou finally lowered her head and apologized: "I’m sorry for worrying you all. I... I’ll be quiet."
With that, she retreated to her room. Lu Ba, Lu Ma, and Lu Jie exchanged glances, momentarily unsure of what to say.
Once in her room, Lu Youyou had no extra thoughts; she focused solely on scrolling through news on her phone.
Xu Lie's recent capture has caused an explosive surge in public interest! Numerous short videos have flooded social media, all centered around Xu Lie.
Some rational voices are analyzing whether such a non-lethal form of revenge is justifiable; others are outright condemning this act of terror. There are even those who find amusement in abstract discussions, questioning whether sacrificing loved ones could enhance one's intelligence.
After all, this incident involved bombings across two major cities, particularly in Ancheng, which experienced two explosions. It is undoubtedly one of the most significant events in recent decades, drawing attention from all corners.
As the public learned that the perpetrator was only in their teens, discussions began to emerge spontaneously. The media diligently pursued more detailed accounts, contributing to the growing buzz around the case.
Lu Youyou watched the developments with increasing concern, muttering to herself, "What an idiot, truly an idiot!"
