"Rest assured, their fate is in the hands of heaven," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
Gu Yun Nan was puzzled but chose not to ask further. As Mu Zhou walked away, the few members of the Holy Witch Cult were still splashing around in the water, trying to intimidate Jiang Chen by invoking the name of the Holy Witch Cult.
Suddenly, several dark shadows emerged from beneath the azure sea.
"Not good, it's sharks!" The members of the Holy Witch Cult screamed in fear, but it was too late. A school of sharks quickly descended upon them, and blood stained the surface of the water.
Gu Yun Nan turned back to witness this scene, dumbfounded. He could not dismiss this as mere coincidence; if it wasn't a coincidence, then someone had orchestrated it.
He looked at Jiang Chen's figure as he rowed, momentarily lost in thought. Despite Jiang Chen's youth, he exuded an unfathomable aura.
"You mentioned saving me because I still have some value. I wonder what use I am to you? With your abilities, you must find my meager skills insignificant," Gu Yun Nan couldn't help but speak up.
Most people sought him out for fortune-telling, but Jiang Chen was clearly beyond comprehension; there had to be another reason for his rescue.
"I need something from you," Jiang Chen replied.
"What is it?" Gu Yun Nan's heart tightened as he began to suspect.
"The Five Element Spirit Orbs," Jiang Chen turned to look at Gu Yun Nan, his gaze deep and inscrutable.
After a moment of eye contact, Gu Yun Nan felt a weight pressing down on him and sighed, "Fine, fine. The Five Element Spirit Orbs have been in my possession for many years without much use. Since you saved my life, I can give them to you."
"But may I ask why you need the Five Element Spirit Orbs?" Gu Yun Nan was perceptive enough to realize that his life had been spared by Jiang Chen. Given how decisively Jiang Chen had dealt with the situation earlier, if he were unwilling to part with the orbs, Jiang Chen would likely kill him and take them anyway. It was better to comply than to resist.
"Master Gu, you should know more about the Five Element Spirit Orbs than I do," Jiang Chen smiled.
"Uh, the Five Element Spirit Orbs are one of the Seven Divine Artifacts. It is said that the Seven Divine Artifacts can open the door to another world. However, this is merely a legend; still, the Seven Divine Artifacts are indeed incredibly powerful," Gu Yun Nan explained.
"Since you understand their significance, why ask further?" Jiang Chen chuckled.
"Ah, you—you don't mean to collect all Seven Divine Artifacts to open that world's door, do you?" Gu Yun Nan was taken aback.
Seeing that Jiang Chen did not respond, Gu Yun Nan continued, "However, the whereabouts of these Seven Divine Artifacts have long been unknown. Although I possess one of the Five Element Spirit Orbs, I fear others coveting it; hence I've kept it hidden. I never expected you would find out about it. But even if you obtain the Five Element Spirit Orbs, it won't matter since the other six artifacts are still missing; finding them is as difficult as ascending to heaven."
"Master Gu, ascending to heaven isn't that hard," Jiang Chen said calmly.
"Uh, indeed; however, locating artifacts is challenging. Moreover, tales of that world are mere illusions. Even if it does exist and we open its door, it may not necessarily be a good thing. We should approach unknown worlds with reverence," Gu Yun Nan spoke earnestly.
"Whether that world exists or not will be determined once I've gathered all Seven Divine Artifacts. I hope it does exist. As a practitioner like yourself, Master Gu should also wish for its existence. The path of cultivation is endless; yet on Earth, your cultivation has likely reached its peak. You wouldn't want to stagnate and fail to progress further," Jiang Chen said in a calm tone.
