In the cafeteria, the first-year students were still marveling at the power of Idealism Magic, feeling a twinge of regret that they hadn't been chosen by the teachers to learn it.
Zhong Le and Kai Zhen had no time to dwell on their disappointment; they were eager to continue learning magic and reach the level of the seniors as soon as possible! It was so impressive, so powerful! Seventy Evil Mages had been nearly wiped out in a single encounter! Which first-year student wouldn’t aspire to that?
The first-year students stared wide-eyed at the enlarged Magic Mirror, their eyes nearly popping out in envy. They had only just begun to learn the Meditation Method this month, and with more advanced magic still out of reach, they could only fantasize about it, feeling both hungry and envious.
Previously, they had hoped to master Inquilinar's flowing flames, but now they completely changed their minds and wanted to grasp Wind Binding instead. When they saw the remaining Evil Mages' counterattacks being blocked by Charles, cheers erupted once more. The roar of twenty thousand students was more exhilarating than the atmosphere at Xu Lie's past bar during the World Cup.
"Is this our future combat teacher, Charles? I will definitely pay attention in his class!" one student exclaimed. "I even hope to major in Drawing Scrolls; being able to cast spells instantly would be so convenient!"
"Don't you wonder about the seniors' magic formations? The way all their spells come together is truly amazing, right?"
The Magic Mirror Mage smiled at the students' discussions and waved his hand. The image on the Magic Mirror shifted again, showing the southern part of the school where teachers were also engaged in battle with the Evil Mages.
The battlefield in the south lacked the fiery spectacle and overwhelming momentum seen at Beck's location; it was not a scene of decisive slaughter like that of the upperclassmen. Instead, it showcased the bizarre and wonderful aspects of Idealism Magic.
The earth transformed into Puppets that fought closely with ghouls; rainwater coalesced into lions that swallowed fireballs whole; a swarm of magical projectiles was intercepted by a large fish whose scales blocked them all. The dazzling spectacle of Idealism Magic left all students spellbound, unable to take it all in as they strained to observe.
Among them, the Daphne Sisters stood out remarkably. Being Daphne herself, they had received guidance from Xu Lie and cultivated various extraordinary magical plants for combat. The Daphne Sisters casually scattered seeds around them; peas quickly sprouted into cannon tubes, each Pea Cannon firing relentlessly toward the Evil Mage camp.
Each Pea Cannon that landed in the Evil Mage territory did not result in violent explosions since Daphne was not adept at explosive Thunder Magic.
The Pea Cannon only shattered slightly, as resilient vines rapidly grew from within, thrashing about like the tentacles of an octopus on land. Each sturdy vine bore blossoms of various colors, releasing scents that induced sleep or sapped the will to fight.
Not to mention the First-Year Students, even the audience was left bewildered.
"What is this? A bean-soldier summoning, a Peashooter? A blend of Eastern and Western styles!"
"Tentacles! I never expected Daphne, who seems so gentle as a gardener, would unleash her tentacles in battle! I love this contrast."
"Brothers in front, tone it down."
"Goodness, is this really Magic War? Why do I feel like I'm looking at an artillery position?"
The Evil Mages were suffering greatly under the assault of the Peashooter. While these plants lacked lethal power, they were certainly annoying! Whether it was the binding and whipping of the tentacle vines or the interference from the sleep-inducing fragrances, they drove the mages to madness.
"Get rid of them first!" One Evil Mage, unable to withstand such soft torment, summoned several Hellhounds engulfed in flames. They prepared to charge straight for the Peashooter position.
The Hellhounds obeyed without hesitation, trampling through black flames as they raced toward the Peashooter, ultimately unleashing black fire from their mouths as they lunged to bite.
