Wizards are destined to be the most curious seekers of mystery. When they received the seven books gifted by Xu Lie, those who successfully meditated first could hardly refuse. The beloved collection of books had Zheng declaring that these teachers were certainly chosen!
Among the other wizards present, some were slow to react, merely feeling envy and resentment, wondering why their speed in mastering the Meditation Method lagged behind. Others, quicker on the uptake, eagerly stepped forward to sign up. After all, hadn’t Xu Lie said that the magical knowledge transcribed from the Gate of Truth would be treated as monthly wages for faculty members?
“Me, me, me! Xu Lie, no, I mean Xu Lie! I excel at Wood Magic! Can I be a teacher?!”
“Stay with your trees! You, who hardly ever leaves your home, can teach students?” Xu Lie, look at me! I have two excellent apprentices; I’m quite skilled at teaching them.
Xu Lie may not agree, but when it comes to educating apprentices, one of mine could easily outshine his two!
The atmosphere grew increasingly lively, reminiscent of the Xanliu Association's spirit. Those signing up, those tearing each other down, and those hurling insults created a scene as vibrant as boiling water—once the fire was lit, it wouldn’t stop bubbling.
The trio of Reiner watched intently, their eyes fixed on those seven books. The night before, the three old friends had gathered, during which Reiner had brought out the books gifted by Xu Lie. The more Black Mist and Inquilinar looked at them, the more fascinated they became.
Although the books only contained secrets about Thunder Magic, they could certainly draw connections to other areas! Both Black Mist and Inquilinar recognized the value and practicality of such Magic Books. Now that they saw Xu Lie’s grand gesture firsthand, how could they resist?
Inquilinar felt a strong itch of excitement! He had already promised to help Xu Lie establish a school yesterday; now there were even greater benefits involved!
“Teacher, what’s wrong?” Beric asked with concern as he noticed Inquilinar’s body trembling slightly.
“It’s nothing,” Inquilinar replied absentmindedly. “It’s just that you’re about to have many junior brothers.”
“???” Beric was puzzled. What did ‘junior brothers’ mean?
Inquilinar patted his apprentice's head again. “Why are you still dawdling? Use your loud voice and help me sign up!”
This time, don't hold back; shout as loud as you can!
The wizards, along with this master and apprentice duo, have amused the audience greatly.
"Are these really wizards? They are no different from the elderly fighting over discounted eggs at the supermarket. Where is the mysterious elegance of a wizard?"
"Can elegance fill your stomach? These wizards are truly clever; they can access the knowledge within the Gate of Truth. For those thirsty for knowledge, becoming a teacher is quite a bargain."
Beric's bewildered expression is hilarious; I can't wait to see him squeezed into the crowd, showcasing his loud voice—it will surely make me laugh until my stomach hurts.
Xu Lie faced the surging wave of wizards without any panic or urgency, maintaining his calm demeanor. He had anticipated this situation: "Ladies and gentlemen, I understand your thirst for knowledge. I also hope to cultivate wizards who can recreate truth and summon the Gate of Truth through our school. Only then can we bring forth more of the knowledge I have transcribed in time."
If we continue like this one by one, who knows how long it will take?
How about this: let’s set the monthly salary for teachers at three hundred credits. Teachers can exchange these credits for Magic Books transcribed from the Gate of Truth or for Magic Items created using knowledge from the Gate of Truth.
