In the desolate wilderness, teeming with vibrant life, snakes, insects, and small animals had woven a delicate ecological food chain. It was a place where no one was expected to visit, yet three figures suddenly appeared—Xu Lie, Anthony, and Charles.
As these unfamiliar beings emerged, two wild creatures were startled and fled in panic. They resembled rabbits but were slightly larger than a man's hands, with strong limbs, gray fur, and large upright ears. The only notable difference was the pair of small horns atop their heads, which looked quite peculiar.
Anthony understood the situation and raised his hand. An invisible force surged forth, transforming into two ethereal hands that grasped the Horned Rabbit by the nape of its neck. The creature squeaked in protest while kicking its legs in mid-air, but offered no other means of resistance. Xu Lie found himself puzzled; when they landed, he had clearly sensed that the Horned Rabbit was grazing peacefully.
Why did it not resist being captured? What purpose did those small horns serve? Even in a fantastical world of magic, one would expect some scientific rationale—creatures shouldn't evolve to possess such seemingly useless appendages. Xu Lie speculated that perhaps these horns were not meant for attack or hunting but rather for absorbing magical energy.
Further investigation was necessary. Charles nodded in agreement and cast a toxin detection spell: "Non-toxic," he confirmed. Then Anthony took charge of slaughtering and skinning the rabbit while Charles prepared to heat oil for cooking—following Xu Lie's preference for braised dishes.
After their research, Xu Lie concluded that this Horned Rabbit had excellent taste and flavor, making it suitable for farming. Of course, Xu Lie wasn't just interested in eating; he also took note of the four small horns. Drawing on his extensive experience gained from purchasing the Legendary Mage package at his company, he made some observations.
He quickly discovered that these horns had a unique structure capable of absorbing wind elements from the atmosphere, providing acceleration to the Horned Rabbit. More potential uses awaited further development.
What an intriguing world this was! After finishing the rabbit meat, Xu Lie released the UFO and, accompanied by his two Bionic Persons, activated Optical Camouflage as they soared southward.
The Burning Fire script was straightforward; the early plot revolved around Jiao Beili Ke traveling with his teacher Inquilinar. The latter part of the story primarily unfolded at the All-Continent Mage Exchange Conference. This event took place every three years and attracted numerous mages eager to engage in exchange and collaboration.
In this world, the knowledge of magic is still in its infancy. Compared to the vast number of ordinary people, the number of wizards is relatively scarce. Most wizards can only explore on their own, often feeling isolated in their pursuits.
This exchange meeting has made it much easier for many to connect, allowing them to share the latest magical secrets and trade magical items. It is quite popular among wizards, and generally, they all make an effort to attend.
For Xu Lie, who aims to unify the entire Burning Fire world, this exchange meeting serves as the most convenient platform.
Finding the exact location of the meeting is not difficult. The script details that it takes place in a beautiful area known as Three Mountains and Two Lakes, which has a significant feature: at the peak of the central mountain stands a Starry Radiance Ancient Tree. However, despite extensive exploration by wizards over the years, its secrets remain elusive.
Every time the exchange meeting occurs, many wizards are unwilling to give up and repeatedly search for answers, yet they always leave empty-handed. Xu Lie piloted his UFO to a height within the stratosphere, activating its scanning function and inputting the keyword "Three Mountains and Two Lakes."
