Whether it is the Imperial Guard or the Farmers, all tactics revolve around the deployment of long-range firepower. The closest beings to the Brain Worms were a group of very peculiar creatures.
Their four legs resembled sticks, somewhat akin to the legs of a grasshopper. The waist was also stick-like. However, the upper body was incredibly robust. The lower body resembled that of an insect, while the upper body appeared as if it were a heavily armored human.
Clad in golden shells, their upper bodies were tightly encased. They looked like Golden Saints. In the Dark World, golden beings were exceedingly rare. Most dark creatures had deep-colored skin, such as black or purple. Yet here stood a shimmering dark creature known as the Dark Colossus.
According to the Imperial Guard's data, these Dark Colossi were equally terrifying dark beings. They possessed two formidable abilities: an Energy Shield and long-range laser attacks. Even without the Brain Worm, their Energy Shield could withstand many tank armor-piercing rounds.
From their shoulder joints, which lacked arms, they could unleash powerful lasers capable of slicing through tanks. Any steel appeared weak in the face of the Dark Colossus's lasers, whose temperatures far exceeded the melting point of steel. When struck by a Dark Colossus's laser, no modern weapon could withstand it. If steel could not endure, then most plants certainly could not either, including Ye Feihong's War Tree.
These fearsome Dark Colossi posed significant damage to the War Tree as well.
