Er Meng and Da Hei stepped back, but they didn't move far from the Dragonhorn Elephant. They were ready to strike when it paused for just a moment.
The Dragonhorn Elephant was fast, scattering Wu Yan and the others. In an instant, it crashed into the protective barrier, its crimson aura quickly dissipating. It seemed dazed from the impact, shaking its head in confusion.
Seizing the opportunity, Er Meng and Da Hei rushed in and struck at the back legs of the Dragonhorn Elephant! The sensation was not like hitting stone; it felt slightly softer, as if they had actually made contact.
Without waiting to see the result, Er Meng and Da Hei quickly retreated. The Dragonhorn Elephant sensed the attack on its leg and stomped down hard with its hind foot!
A shockwave radiated outward. Fortunately, Er Meng and Da Hei had retreated quickly enough to avoid being knocked off their feet by the force.
They exchanged glances but showed no surprise at each other's reactions. After all, they were both children of the Hunting Team, accustomed to hearing their elders say that as long as the attack wasn't too strong, they should strike and then retreat to give others space or dodge the Wild Beast's counterattack.

They glanced over at the other children who were picking up Wu Yan. Were there any archers or ranged attackers among them?
Yes! There were five with bows—though they were just ordinary beast sinew bows, the children still had enough strength to draw them.
Er Meng nodded, looking at the Dragonhorn Elephant with its hind legs tucked behind it against the barrier. "Try attacking its eyes or ears! If we provoke it enough, we'll have a chance to strike!"
"Got it!"
Those who dare to wield a bow do so because they love it. If you have used a bow, then at this moment, taking it up is nothing but a hindrance!
Draw the bow, aim, and shoot!
In an instant, five arrows flew toward the Dragonhorn Elephant. The creature noticed something small flying towards its eyes and instinctively shut them. The arrows struck directly into the eyelids of the Dragonhorn Elephant. The opportunity had come; they grabbed their bows and ran, while the others sought chances to attack from behind. The children did not respond; the Dragonhorn Elephant's presence was intimidating.
Yet they began to move.
The Dragonhorn Elephant charged angrily at the children with bows, completely ignoring Er Meng and Da Hei standing right in front of it.
Er Meng and Da Hei would not waste such an opportunity. Seizing the moment when the Dragonhorn Elephant was distracted, they struck with their blades at its hind legs!
With its own momentum combined with Er Meng's and Da Hei's strength, the blow cut deep, hitting a solid part of its body. They struck bone; however, the depth of the wound made it difficult to pull the blade out. As the Dragonhorn Elephant continued to run forward, the knife became lodged in its flesh.
Though it felt immense pain from the wound that reached its bone, what weighed heavier in its heart was humiliation. For any Wild Beast, being defeated by a creature smaller than itself is a disgrace.
And to be bested by creatures so much smaller was an even greater humiliation. The more it hurt, the more humiliated it felt, fueling its rage!
The Dragonhorn Elephant focused solely on those with bows. After all, it couldn’t see who had struck its legs, so it attributed the pain to the children running ahead. The bow-wielding children were not foolish; they split up and didn’t run in a straight line, instead weaving as they fled.
Seeing them separate, the Dragonhorn Elephant chose one child to pursue. Although it tried to turn, its speed in doing so was too slow, allowing the child to slip away effortlessly. In a fit of rage, the Dragonhorn Elephant let out a furious roar and began stomping its front legs against the ground.
Shockwaves erupted from the ground, growing larger and traveling farther with each stomp. The children hurried toward the protective barrier. Fortunately, no matter how hard the Dragonhorn Elephant tried, the shockwaves could not reach the edge of the barrier.
Meanwhile, the children with bows seized the opportunity while the Dragonhorn Elephant lifted its feet, attacking its underbelly. Although the creature had thick skin, its belly was not as tough or as thick. Several arrows pierced into its abdomen.
The pain made the Dragonhorn Elephant cry out even louder, blood seeping from the corners of its mouth. Outside, the Hunting Team nodded in approval at their children's actions. While their coordination might not match that of others, it was still commendable.
Indeed, at this rate, this young Dragonhorn Elephant would surely be worn down. Er Meng and Da Hei were doing remarkably well! Kei Yunqing watched the children with a smile; although they were not as skilled as Kong Tianqi and his peers, they were still impressive in their own right.
After all, Kong Tianqi and his group were geniuses and should not be used as a standard for comparison. In terms of strength, even Er Meng was just shy of a thousand pounds. Shi Hao was nearing five thousand pounds now. Kong Qing Hu had reached fifty thousand pounds, while Kong Tianqi was at forty-seven thousand pounds.
Kong Qing Hu's strength and speed had improved rapidly; her physique suited this better. Kong Tianqi had faced some issues with his training methods previously and had yet to fully unlock his physical potential.
