The children of Shi Village looked at Li Tianqi, then at Li Yunqing. Li Yunqing smiled.
"Treasure Technique, huh? It's normal for it to be powerful, similar to Guwen. If you learn Guwen well, you can also learn Treasure Technique."
"Treasure Technique? Can we learn it too?" The children's eyes lit up at the mention of Treasure Technique.
"How cool! Wolf Shadow! And it's powerful! I want to learn!"
Li Yunqing noticed their keen interest. "You can go talk to the village chief. To learn Treasure Technique, you need to master Guwen first; otherwise, you won't be able to learn it. Plus, using Treasure Technique requires a strong physique, so you need to strengthen your training!"
The children from Shi Village nodded. Although they didn’t understand Guwen classes, they were determined to study hard to learn Treasure Technique!
Li Tianqi stepped out of the training ground and looked at Li Yunqing. "Father, how about getting me a spike wall?"
Li Yunqing glanced at Li Tianqi. "If you want it, I can get it for you."
"Thank you, Father."
Li Yunqing smiled and ruffled Li Tianqi's hair before turning his gaze to Li Qinghu, who was also looking eager to try something out.
She was always ready for a fight!
Li Yunqing waved his hand, clearing the bloodstains from the ground as a protective barrier appeared, allowing a child to pass through the passage.
"Go ahead, Li Qinghu."
"Okay!"
Li Qinghu walked through the passage, which then vanished on its own. Once Li Qinghu stood firm, a ten-meter-tall Explosive Ape appeared. This was a newly matured Explosive Ape.
The Explosive Ape noticed it was in an unfamiliar place and began to observe its surroundings. It realized it was inside some sort of barrier and saw smaller creatures outside that resembled it but lacked fur.
However, it spotted Zhong Li and felt a shiver run down its spine. This was the person who had once trapped it under rocks, rendering it powerless and filled with rage.
The Explosive Ape pounded its massive fists against its chest, letting out a tremendous roar!
A roar echoed through the air, drawing the attention of the villagers of Shi Village, who rushed over, thinking a wild beast had entered their territory. The Hunting Team arrived the fastest; having completed their hunting objectives early that day, they were resting in the village when they heard the roar and immediately deduced it was an Explosive Ape.
Normally, encountering an Explosive Ape would not be easy for the Hunting Team. Although these creatures were significantly larger than them, they were also much faster than expected. Their primary method of hunting involved using bows and arrows for ranged attacks, often coated with a paralyzing poison. Of course, they also used antidotes or ensured that the poison would dissipate on its own, as hunting wild beasts was meant to provide food or resources; otherwise, there was little point in the hunt.
The speed of the Explosive Ape made it a challenging target. The team could only attempt to ambush it from a distance with poisoned arrows while trying to prevent it from escaping. However, the chances of success were low since the size and speed of the Explosive Ape made it relatively easy to break through the Hunting Team's encirclement.
With Liu Shen's blessing over the village, how could a wild beast possibly enter?
“Forget about that! We need to go—over there is the children's training ground! My son Huzi is over there! Hurry!”
It wasn't just the Hunting Team that was drawn in; the village chief, Shi Yunfeng, was also concerned. Hearing about the Explosive Ape made his expression grave. If a wild beast truly entered their village, life would become difficult for Shi Village. The presence of a wild beast would mean that Liu Shen's protection had failed. Without divine guardianship, survival in this harsh wilderness would be impossible; they could easily be trampled by wild beasts.
Shi Yunfeng stepped outside his house to check on Liu Shen and saw that nothing seemed amiss; Liu Shen remained in place. He considered the direction from which the roar had come. That direction led to the training ground—could it be that Li Yunqing had caused this commotion?
After pondering for a moment, Shi Yunfeng realized it must be one of Li Yunqing's antics. He shook his head with a smile and returned to his house.
Meanwhile, the Hunting Team hadn’t thought too deeply about it. When they reached the scene, they found their children gathered around the training ground. A protective dome enveloped the area, inside which stood a young adult Explosive Ape.
Relieved to see their children safe, they soon noticed another child inside with the ape! Their hearts raced with concern. Regardless of whose child it was, if they belonged to Shi Village, they couldn’t just stand by!
They approached and began to pound on the dome. “What is this dome? It’s so sturdy!”
"What should we do if we can't open it? Where did this cover come from? Did the village chief do this? Hurry and find the village chief!"
The Hunting Team pounded on the cover, but it stirred not a single ripple. They didn’t pay much attention to the battle inside. Perhaps they didn’t believe that a weak child could stand a chance against an adult Explosive Ape.
If they had looked closely, they would have seen that the Explosive Ape was exchanging blows with a child who was barely the size of its pinky finger. The Explosive Ape's fists were covered in blood! The more it fought, the angrier it became, and the angrier it got, the harder it hit!
Unlike before, when it merely reacted to its irritable nature with Purple Thunder Spike, the Explosive Ape’s rage was innate. Therefore, its fury wouldn’t cease just because it was losing; instead, it plunged deeper into a fit of rage!
Li Yunqing and the children from Shi Village watched as the anxious Hunting Team exchanged amused glances. "Don’t rush; take a good look."
"What is there to see? A small child against an adult beast?"
Finally, one of the Hunting Team members noticed Li Yunqing and Zhong Li standing beside the children. "Oh, it's Li Yunqing!"
"Li Yunqing, please save the child inside!" they urged upon seeing him.
Li Yunqing pointed inside. "Take a good look."
"What is this? Xiao Qing Hu?"
The Hunting Team's eyes widened in shock. "Isn’t that Li Yunqing’s child?" They sneaked a glance at Li Yunqing and found him smiling as he watched the battle unfold.
The members of the Hunting Team exchanged glances. "This guy is ruthless; he’s so tough even on his own child!"
