Li Yunqing and Liu Shen began to connect on a spiritual level. To the outsiders, it appeared as if Li Yunqing was holding Liu Shen's willow branch and had closed his eyes.
Shi Yunfeng stood there, staring at Li Yunqing, while other villagers from Shi Village gathered around, curious about the newcomers near Liu Shen.
"Who are they, Village Chief?" a tall figure whispered to Shi Yunfeng.
Shi Yunfeng snapped back to reality and glanced at Shi Lin Hu beside him. "I don't know. They suddenly appeared outside our Shi Village. I saw that Liu Shen wasn't reacting, so I let them in."
Shi Lin Hu observed Li Yunqing and the accompanying Zhong Li. "Are they important figures from the outside world? Or does Liu Shen know them?"
Shi Yunfeng shook his head. "I have no idea. We can ask Liu Shen when the spirit ceremony begins."
More and more villagers from Shi Village gathered, their curiosity piqued by Li Yunqing. The children were kept at bay by their parents, who didn’t want them getting too close to Li Yunqing.
Zhong Li glanced at the villagers but said nothing. Naturally, as protected villagers, they felt a bit tense about someone approaching a deity.
After a while, Li Yunqing finally lowered the willow branch in his hand and turned to face the villagers of Shi Village surrounding him.
He smiled at them. "There's nothing to worry about. Liu Shen and I are friends now. We'll be staying here for a while until the children grow up."
In apparent agreement with Li Yunqing's words, Liu Shen lowered his willow branch slightly, indicating his alignment with what Li Yunqing had said.
The villagers exchanged glances and whispered among themselves, occasionally stealing glances at Li Yunqing and then at Li Tianqi and the others.
After some time, the villagers looked toward their chief, Shi Yunfeng. Since they were friends of Liu Shen, there was no cause for concern. Even if Liu Shen had other plans, it was not something they could speculate on.
With a smile, Shi Yunfeng approached Li Yunqing. "Esteemed guest, please follow me. I will arrange accommodations for you."
Li Yunqing did not refuse and followed Shi Yunfeng, with Zhong Li trailing behind. The villagers of Shi Village stepped aside to watch Li Yunqing, Zhong Li, and the two children.
Once they were out of the villagers' encirclement, Li Yunqing began to speak with Shi Yunfeng. "Just find us an open space; I can manage to build a house myself."
"Don't you need our help?" Shi Yunfeng asked.
Li Yunqing smiled. "Building a house isn't really that difficult."
Seeing Li Yunqing's confidence, Shi Yunfeng decided not to press further. After all, he had equated Li Yunqing with Liu Shen in his mind. As for Zhong Li, he appeared to be someone of high status, so it was best to let him handle things as a noble would.
When it came to building houses, both Li Yunqing and Zhong Li were experienced hands. Li Yunqing had left his mark with impressive structures across various realms. Zhong Li, on the other hand, had built houses for the Liyue people during the early days of Liyue's establishment. However, the houses he constructed were square and sturdy but lacked any unique features. If one had to point out something, it would be that the walls were thick and heavy, providing good sound insulation.
As time went on, people realized that while Zhong Li's buildings were solid, they weren't particularly practical, which led them to learn construction techniques on their own. Zhong Li had also learned quite a bit from humanity and at least no longer built those square structures.
However, with Li Yunqing around, it wasn't his turn to build a house anyway. When Shi Yunfeng led Li Yunqing and Zhong Li to their destination, they reached one of the higher points in Shi Village.
Shi Village was established among large stones that resembled mountains. It could be said that Shi Village was formed when Liu Shen underwent tribulation and struck this area hard enough to create a massive pit.
Li Yunqing looked around; the elevated position allowed for a clear view of many places, but the wind and sand were abundant, and there were no plants in sight.
Shi Yunfeng nodded and stepped aside, preparing to witness Li Yunqing's miraculous feats.
