Simba's speed was quite impressive. Even though his size had increased, it didn't slow him down; in fact, his larger frame allowed him to cover more ground with each stride, making him even faster.
This advantage meant that Ke Tian Ci could reach a wider range of locations each day, interacting with more monsters. The monsters in the Second Layer had mostly been exhausted in terms of interaction. All the different regions had successfully connected.
Since Ke Tian Ci had Anna by his side, he rarely returned to Sky Island to visit Sera and himself. He only came back when he needed Kei Yunqing's help. However, every time he did return, Sera would pull him aside for long conversations. After chatting with Ke Tian Ci, she would then turn to Anna, and their discussions could last for several hours.
Now, Ke Tian Ci was somewhat hesitant to return home for fear of being caught in lengthy conversations with his mother. But he couldn't blame Sera; she worried about her child being out in the world at such a young age. What if he encountered bad people? What if he went hungry? Would he face danger?
Sera's concern often left her feeling flustered. She didn't realize that Ke Tian Ci was no longer a small child. He had ventured into places far beyond what many adults experienced, though his interactions with people were limited. Without the scheming and rivalries that often accompany human relationships, he hadn't grown in that regard.
As for basic needs like food and shelter, there was little for her to worry about. To make living arrangements easier, Ke Tian Ci had learned from his father, Kei Yunqing, how to quickly construct houses using vines. As for food and drink, his Space Ring was filled with a plethora of supplies prepared by Kei Yunqing.
When it came to danger, there was no need for concern either. With his current attributes, even the strongest beings in this realm would pale in comparison to him. Not to mention that Ke Tian Ci possessed countless skills, all at exceptionally high levels. Coupled with the enhancements from the Heaven and Earth Eye, nothing he encountered in this realm could truly be considered dangerous.
These reassurances were what Kei Yunqing consistently shared with Sera. She listened but still remained anxious. Every day, Kei Yunqing would comfort her and take her to various beautiful places, all in an effort to distract her from her worries. It worked well enough that she often forgot about her concerns for their child.
Each day was spent closely bonded with Kei Yunqing.
In the evening, even the gentle breeze watching from the side felt a flush of embarrassment.
She walked so slowly! Was it because she lacked speed? In Central Town on the First Floor, a girl dressed in a burlap outfit was slowly making her way forward, carrying a large wooden shield. Through conversations with kind-hearted passersby, Mei Pulu was heading towards the West Forest.
Although this was a game world, there was still a setting where one could feel pain when attacked. However, Mei Pulu was afraid of pain. When she first chose her profession, she wanted to be a mage who stood at the back and dealt damage without having to take hits. But then she suddenly spotted a Great Shield nearby.
It was the profession with the highest defense but low damage. If her defense was high, she wouldn’t take damage, right? Choosing this would be best since she feared pain. Thus, Mei Pulu decided on the Great Shield profession. If she wanted high defense, she should invest all her points into it, right? So, Mei Pulu allocated all her points to defense.
However, without investing in speed, the weight of her shield was quite heavy. She could only walk; running was out of the question. Her walking speed was slow as well. By the time she reached the intersection heading west, over ten minutes had passed.
The West Forest was a must-visit place for beginners; monsters would come looking for players, so there was no need to search for them. To accommodate new players, the monsters were designed to look non-threatening and had relatively low attributes.
As Mei Pulu walked forward with her Great Shield, suddenly there was a rustling sound from the bushes ahead. Before she could react, a cute rabbit appeared.
Wow! What an adorable rabbit! Mei Pulu stared at the rabbit in surprise and forgot to raise her shield for defense. The rabbit, however, wouldn’t refrain from attacking Mei Pulu just because of her admiration.
With a charge, he collided directly with Mei Pulu's stomach.
Mei Pulu instinctively thought the impact would hurt, taking a half step back. She touched her belly, expecting pain, but only felt a slight sensation—nothing like actual pain.
Realizing that the rabbit's attack was not as strong as her defense, she immediately put her hands on her hips.
"Hmph! Mr. Rabbit, you can't break through my defense!"
She stood firm, allowing the rabbit to crash into her. The rabbit didn't hesitate, charging again and again, bouncing off and then preparing for another hit.
"Come on, Mr. Rabbit! If you put in a little more effort, you might just break through my defense!"
Mei Pulu teased the rabbit like this for an entire hour.
Then a notification panel appeared before her.
"Mr. Rabbit, please wait a moment."
Mei Pulu clicked on the panel.
