Inside the building, there were several enormous trees. At the very top, a crystal slowly descended, and countless vines began to gather, forming the shape of a deer. It appeared to be about ten meters tall. Although it was made of vines, the final shape bore no trace of them; it looked just like a complete deer.
Is this the first stage of the teleportation? Li Yunqing glanced at his level—thirty—and noticed special markings on his panel.
How majestic! This is the largest creature we've encountered! Li Tianci looked at the Giant Deer with excitement.
After the Giant Deer appeared, it did not attack Li Yunqing and the others but lowered its head to observe them instead. The presence of Li Yunqing and Li Tianci made it hesitant to act aggressively; instead, it seemed eager to play with them.
Li Yunqing reached out to touch the Giant Deer. Its name is Teng Lu, right? Would you like to be friends with us?
The Teng Lu let out a series of soft sounds but did not speak. However, both Li Yunqing and Li Tianci could understand its meaning.
You are the guardian here, watching over this Transmission Array?
Li Yunqing listened to Teng Lu's response and shook his head.
After some time, people from another world will come to challenge you, to kill you, and then enter the Transmission Array. You will be killed over and over again.
Huh?
You won't have memories before your death; you'll only remember that you must guard this place.
Hmm.
If you leave, a new version of you should appear here to take your place as guardian.
Hoo!
It’s fine; following us isn’t a bad idea after all.
Li Yunqing and Li Tian Ci made friends with Teng Lu, who transformed into a massive crystal and returned to the ceiling. Before them appeared a Transmission Array.
“Let’s go.”
Li Yunqing and the others stepped into the Transmission Array, and in the blink of an eye, they found themselves in the center of a large building complex. A fountain stood before them.
The architecture around them was different from that of the First Floor, which was mostly composed of trees and had many plants growing on the houses. The buildings on this level appeared to be made of concrete. However, the surrounding area didn’t seem very lively.
There didn’t appear to be anyone resembling a village chief nearby. Perhaps it was more reasonable that there was no village chief in the city at all.
Looking around, Li Yunqing and Sera were not particularly surprised; this was just an ordinary residential area. On the other hand, Li Tian Ci found it quite fascinating. After all, he had never seen concrete before.
When Li Yunqing took the children back to show them Earth, some of them hadn’t remembered much. They were not familiar with life on Earth, as Li Yunqing hadn’t taken them into the city. Even though he had purified Earth once, some pollution still lingered. Moreover, the air on Earth lacked any special energy, which wasn’t beneficial for Li Yunqing’s children’s development.
Children raised in an environment rich in special energy would have better physical qualities and might even be able to harness that energy. Teyvat was filled with elemental energy, and Liyue had the Emperor looking after it, making it a decent place for growth.
Additionally, Li Yunqing would take his children to different worlds to grow up in. Take Li Tian Ci for example; he had only been in this world for about half a year and was already nearly a meter tall. With many friends and stronger abilities, Li Tian Ci could no longer be considered just a child.
Although they had only explored half of the city, Li Yunqing and the others took a look around. Most of the houses were empty; this was the Guild Base arranged for players by the game developers. Once most players reached a certain level, the officials would organize an event where players could catch wild Golden Glow Bugs to obtain the keys to activate their Guild Bases.
Li Yunqing casually glanced around; the houses were quite ordinary and not furnished, meaning players would need to buy their own furniture. Moreover, the styles were not to Li Yunqing's liking.
