Li Yunqing didn't know much about the magical world; there weren't many pure magic anime either, so he only remembered a small part of it. After some thought, he decided that a simpler world would be better.
He browsed through his options and ultimately settled on a relatively normal world that wouldn’t cause harm to real people. The world of "Because I Was Too Afraid of Pain, I Put All My Points into Defense" fit the bill perfectly. It was a game-based anime where he would directly traverse into the game itself, ensuring that no harm would come to the humans in this reality.
Since Li Yunqing wasn’t directly crossing over into the game but rather into the anime, even if the game had a well-developed background, it wouldn’t be like interacting with real people. He managed to steal the game’s permissions, allowing himself and his family to assume identities with the highest ranks—far beyond what even the planners and programmers could manage. As for their professions, they all became mages.
As for Sera, wasn’t being a mage just about wielding a sword? In this world, there was quite a bit of freedom; mages could wield swords while assassins could use staves. Of course, not many people would actually do that—after all, if you were playing as a mage or an assassin, why would you bother with weapons from other classes?
In the early stages, mages didn’t have many skills and couldn’t deal damage effectively, so when they ran out of spells, they had to resort to using their staves or switch to daggers for melee combat.
Li Yunqing teleported his wife and child to the nearest village. They should currently be on the First Floor; the surrounding levels were low, indicating they were likely in a beginner's village. Checking the game time revealed that there was still nearly half a year before players would officially be allowed in—the game was still in its internal testing phase. This meant that only a few thousand players were currently exploring and playing.
Li Yunqing accessed the built-in modifier and granted his family billions of in-game currency points to ensure they wouldn’t be poor. The house wasn’t fully set up yet, so he took his family into the forest near the beginner village.
At the center of the forest, by a lake, he cleared away surrounding trees with a wave of his hand. Countless roots emerged and intertwined to form a massive wooden house. Then, Li Yunqing pulled out some renovation materials from his ring. With a surge of magical energy, the materials flew into the wooden house and positioned themselves where he directed them.
Before long, the entire house was beautifully renovated.
Li Yunqing and Sera began to arrange the furniture, while Li Tian Ci stood in the room, curiously watching his parents. Seeing them busy and not paying attention to him, he turned his little eyes and ran towards the door.
Although Li Yunqing was occupied with the furniture, his spiritual perception was passively active. He sensed that Li Tian Ci had run out of the wooden house and into the forest, and he wasn't overly worried.
Li Tian Ci possessed the Heaven and Earth Eye, which granted him the qualities of Heaven's Favorite. Any creature would feel a fondness for him, making it unlikely for them to harm him; in fact, they might even offer him their treasures.
Ignoring Li Tian Ci's departure, Li Yunqing continued tidying up the room alongside Sera. Unbeknownst to them, they were actually quite pleased with their child's absence.
Meanwhile, Li Tian Ci was curiously exploring his surroundings. He found himself in a lush forest filled with towering trees and dense underbrush, accompanied by the soft hum of insects. His mother had taken him to see some woods in Liyue before, where the trees were more sparse and the landscape dominated by mountains.
This time, however, he was alone—well, as alone as a child could be. Though his body resembled that of a three-year-old, he did not feel small among the gigantic trees that loomed around him. In fact, they seemed even taller in his wide eyes. Without his parents nearby, he felt no fear; instead, he was filled with joy as he ventured deeper into the forest.
As he made his way through the thicket, the foliage parted to create a path for him. Passing by a fruit tree, a ripe fruit accidentally fell at his feet. Li Tian Ci picked up the fruit, which was larger than his head, and continued on his way.
Suddenly, a massive shadow loomed before him. Li Tian Ci looked up to see a Silver Giant Wolf tilting its head curiously at him. The wolf lowered its head and sniffed at him, finding his scent delightful and intriguing.
Li Tian Ci giggled as the Silver Giant Wolf's sniffing tickled him.
