Zhong Li's daily routine was quite fixed, primarily centered around Liyue City. Only occasionally would his path change when Xiao or the Adepti sought him out for something or when there were special events.
However, ever since Kei Yunqing arrived, Zhong Li found himself mostly following Kei Yunqing's lead. Kei Yunqing did not hide his identity; he was a traveler from another realm. The term "other realm" was not uncommon in Teyvat; most people had heard tales and legends about it. Those with greater strength had even witnessed travelers from other realms firsthand, and some had experienced fortuitous encounters that allowed them to bring back items from those worlds.
As for travelers from other realms, Zhong Li had previously met a golden-haired traveler. Now, he was in Sumeru. Regarding Kei Yunqing, the second traveler he encountered in such a short time, Zhong Li was not particularly surprised.
"Are you from the same realm as that traveler?" he asked.
"No, we are not from the same realm," Kei Yunqing replied. "I just happened to encounter him at the Boundary Wall when I arrived here."
Kei Yunqing led Zhong Li to the riverbank to fish, chatting casually as they cast their lines.
"Oh? The Boundary Wall?" Zhong Li inquired.
"Yes, every realm has its Boundary Wall," Kei Yunqing explained. "For those from their own realm, entry is unrestricted. However, for outsiders like us, we need special methods to gain access."
"What kind of methods?" Zhong Li asked, intrigued. Having lived for a long time and studied various academic subjects, he naturally became interested upon hearing unfamiliar knowledge.
Kei Yunqing did not hold back. "The traveler you mentioned was not obstructed by the Boundary Wall because his very essence is that of a traveler. He can freely enter realms that are unguarded or permitted entry by the realm itself. We are different; my power is sufficient to shield me from the realm's observation while I boldly enter."
Zhong Li nodded in understanding. He had often noticed that Kei Yunqing frequently displayed powers that did not belong to this realm.
"It certainly doesn't seem like elemental energy," he remarked.
"As the Rock King Emperor Zhongli and a Wu Shen, would you be interested in having a friendly competition?" Kei Yunqing proposed.
"Naturally, I am interested."
Although calm and composed, Zhong Li would not refuse an invitation from an opponent he found interesting.
Kei Yunqing nodded, and with a thought, an invisible force extended outward.
Zhong Li felt something pass through him, moving away into the distance. What was this?
The Mirror Realm was not the real world; any destruction caused here would not affect reality. So, feel free to unleash your power.
Zhong Li looked around, casting a skeptical glance at Kei Yunqing.
Kei Yunqing smiled and waved his hand casually.
A massive rift appeared between Kei Yunqing and Zhong Li, with the half of the continent where Zhong Li stood tilting ninety degrees relative to the continent where Kei Yunqing stood.
Do you believe it now? Kei Yunqing asked, looking at Zhong Li with a grin.
Zhong Li nodded, slowly solidifying his Rock Spear as his attire transformed into the robes of Wu Shen.
Kei Yunqing also drew out a long spear.
Seeing that Kei Yunqing was ready, Zhong Li stepped forward and thrust his Rock Spear toward him.
Kei Yunqing sidestepped to avoid it and then struck down with his spear.
Zhong Li could not dodge in time but remained unflustered as a shield manifested around him.
As Solid As A Rock!
Hmm? It really is tough!
Though it was merely a casual strike from Kei Yunqing, Zhong Li's shield was only marked with scratches.
Pushing aside the remnants of the attack, he examined his shield and gained some understanding of Kei Yunqing's power.
While my shield can block most attacks without issue, it was nearly shattered by your light strike, Kei Yunqing.
