Sera and Lilu Lu were talking. Over the past few days, they had occasionally challenged two pillars in one day, or sometimes just one, but none of them included Shinobu Kocho, as they didn't want to go against their own.
"You're doing well. Let's eat; I can introduce you to Shinobu," Sera said.
"Sounds good!"
They gathered around the same round table, but now there was an additional person. Since Shinobu was new, Sera gave up her spot next to Li Yunqing and sat beside Shinobu Kocho instead.
Shinobu Kocho wasn't very familiar with the others; she simply noticed that Sera had made room for her and quietly murmured a thank you.
Li Yunqing effortlessly set out a large spread of dishes. Only Shinobu Kocho gasped in surprise and covered her mouth, while the others picked up their chopsticks and looked at Li Yunqing, waiting for him to start eating first.
Noticing Shinobu Kocho's astonished expression, Li Yunqing gently patted her head. "Go ahead and eat; I'll explain later."
"Okay."
As Li Yunqing began to eat, the others followed suit. It was Shinobu Kocho's first time trying Chinese cuisine, and she found it delicious. Although she ate a bit more than usual, it still wasn't as much as the other girls.
She felt a little shy about it.
After finishing their meal, Li Yunqing led the girls to sit on the sofa. They had developed a habit of sitting together to watch TV after dinner.
Li Yunqing pulled Shinobu Kocho into his arms. Being quite petite, she was about the same height as Zhi Ye, around one hundred fifty-five centimeters tall. In his embrace, her head barely reached his nose.
He inhaled the pleasant fragrance of her hair. Shinobu Kocho felt a bit uncomfortable being held by Li Yunqing and shifted slightly in his arms.
It wasn't until she saw the television in front of them that she stopped moving and focused intently on the screen. She didn't understand what this thing was that allowed people to appear inside it—was it like carving out a space for performances? But this house couldn't possibly have such a large space, could it?
Shinobu Kocho was lost in thought when Li Yunqing noticed her stillness. He gently tapped her face, took her left hand, and placed a Royal Ring on her finger.
“Huh?” Shinobu Kocho snapped back to reality as she felt Li Yunqing's touch. She looked at her hand, now adorned with a ring, feeling a bit bewildered. Why did he suddenly put a ring on me?
Feeling somewhat flustered, she glanced around when Li Yunqing wrapped his arms around her from behind.
“Shinobu, this is the Royal Ring. It has a vast space inside. If you immerse your consciousness in it, you can see what's there. You can store items or take them out; I’ve placed many things inside for you to explore.”
“Hmm? Let me try.”
Shinobu Kocho focused intently on the Royal Ring. Slowly, she began to see a multitude of items: books, clothes, ornaments, and more. She reached out and tried to pull out a book, which instantly appeared in her hands.
Seeing the book materialize surprised her. She glanced over at Li Yunqing, who smiled back at her, easing her mind.
Examining the book closely, she noticed its title was "Sword Heart," but it wouldn’t open.
“What kind of book is this? Why can’t I open it?” she asked while flipping through its pages.
Li Yunqing held her hand and guided her to hold the Sword Heart together. “This is my Skill Book. Just give it a light tap on your head, and you'll easily learn its contents.”
As he spoke, he took control of her hand and positioned the Sword Heart above Shinobu Kocho's head.
Feeling a bit nervous, she closed her eyes. When the Sword Heart touched her head, it transformed into blue ash and vanished, filling her mind with knowledge about the Sword Heart.
“How amazing!”
