The two anime were not long, and Ma Yi was watching them in a jumpy manner, as her appearances were not frequent.
To summarize, a student from the same school saw a side of herself that others couldn't, helping her resolve her Adolescence Syndrome. Afterward, she developed feelings for him, and they became a couple.
Thinking about it, if someone truly helped her solve such a problem, she might really fall for him too, Ma Yi thought as she watched Kei Yunqing sitting on the balcony reading.
After finishing, she didn’t go to find him but instead exited the anime app and started checking the news and some maps.
Zhi Ye, on the other hand, didn’t fast forward at all. She felt a bit embarrassed seeing her confused self at the beginning and was happy to see her future roommates getting along so well.
Later, Zhi Ye noticed a bag of snacks hidden under a pillow on the sofa. Surprised, she took it out and looked at Kei Yunqing on the balcony.
Suddenly, Zhi Ye realized something was off; she didn’t even know his name. She jogged over to Kei Yunqing's side, and he turned to look at her.
"What's up?" he asked.
Zhi Ye showed him the chips in her hand. "Can I eat these?"
"Of course! Anything in the house is basically yours. Feel free to eat," Kei Yunqing replied with a smile.
Zhi Ye nodded. "By the way, what should we call you?"
"We never did say. My name is Kei Yunqing, but you can also call me 'hubby,'" he said playfully.
"Kei Yunqing? Hubby? Maybe I'll save that for later," she laughed. "I’ll go back to watching now."
"Go ahead," he said.
Zhi Ye returned to her spot, picked up her tablet, and resumed watching while munching on chips as if she were binge-watching a show—though this time it was her own story.
Ma Yi had noticed Zhi Ye since she left earlier; the living room wasn’t far from the balcony, and their conversation hadn’t been quiet enough to escape her ears.
"Hubby?" Ma Yi chuckled softly as she continued searching for information online.
She looked up her name and found only images from her anime, even coming across a character that made her realize what it meant. Not wanting to delve deeper into it, she continued browsing other topics.
There was no doubt that they were characters from an anime, now transformed into real people by Kei Yunqing. After all, if this were a deception, it would be quite impressive to create an entire anime and a bunch of searches just to fool her. Even if it were a trick, what could she do about it?
When she first met Kei Yunqing, she was skeptical of his words. However, as time passed and she watched the videos showing how they had become human, she began to understand the extent of his abilities. Eventually, she conducted her own searches.
Ma Yi had completely come to believe in Kei Yunqing's powers and felt no aversion to the idea of being his future wife. After all, she had just looked up many beautiful anime characters, including Sister Sera and Lilu Lu Sister; now there were only four of them.
If she were a man, she'd gather a whole group!
After finishing her search, Ma Yi sighed in relief and relaxed as she continued watching the videos. One of them was a mashup from Demon Slayer. Kei Yunqing had mentioned that there were demons in the previous world; was Demon Slayer set in this world?
A quick search revealed that there were thousands of demons spreading everywhere, causing fear among people, which made them cautious. The protagonist, Tanjirou, led his small team along with the Hashira to eliminate a demon named Muzan. In the end, after sacrificing several members, they achieved a satisfying conclusion.
It was a typical story ending.
Ma Yi didn’t watch the anime itself; she merely glanced at the time and realized that nearly two hours had passed. She moved over to Kei Yunqing's side and pulled up a chair to sit next to him.
Kei Yunqing turned to look at Ma Yi and smiled at her.
"Have you finished watching?"
"I have."
