Taki Sakonji was just about to take them into his house to administer some medicine when he heard Li Yunqing's words. After all, he could only treat some external injuries by crushing herbs and applying them. Hearing that Li Yunqing was capable, he decided to let the professional handle it.
Li Yunqing moved everything from the table onto a nearby chair and gestured for Taki Sakonji to place Tanjirou and Nezuko on the table. After a careful observation, he noted that Tanjirou's injuries were more severe; he had multiple claw marks and bite wounds scattered across his body, with pieces missing here and there. In comparison, Nezuko only had shallow claw marks, indicating that Tanjirou had indeed protected her well. However, despite his more serious injuries, Tanjirou was still awake, breathing heavily as he looked at Li Yunqing.
After confirming the wounds, Li Yunqing fed each of them a small vial of Life Water. This substance could enhance vitality and improve physical condition; for those with talent, it could even stimulate the awakening of their abilities. Then, Li Yunqing cast Quick Healing on them, a spell that could quickly restore lost flesh and blood but required energy from their bodies. Since Tanjirou and Nezuko were already exhausted, this meant they would have to draw on their life force. Fortunately, the vitality from the Life Water wouldn’t be completely absorbed by them, making it just right for their treatment.
"Alright, nothing too serious," Li Yunqing said as he conjured two beds beside them and laid Tanjirou and Nezuko down on them.
Taki Sakonji watched as Li Yunqing fed each of them a vial of green liquid, then saw green light appear around his hands before he waved again to summon two beds. To be honest, after spending time with Li Yunqing and the others, Taki Sakonji had noticed they all possessed some strange abilities. He was no longer surprised by it.
Nodding in response to Li Yunqing's words, Taki Sakonji noticed Sera and Lilu Lu curiously looking at Tanjirou and Nezuko. Tanjirou had been holding on just moments ago, but after receiving treatment, he had already fallen asleep. When Taki Sakonji caught Sera and Lilu Lu staring, he shot them a glare.
Sera and Lilu Lu quickly turned back to focus on their sword practice.
"Urin Taki," he thought. How did they end up here? He glanced at Tanjirou. This kid was recommended by my disciple, Tengen Uzui, who said he had talent similar to mine. He brought him along after encountering a demon at the foot of the mountain.
Li Yunqing nodded. "Tengen Uzui, right? They must be in a small village far away. I remember I saved them once."
"Oh?" Taki Sakonji looked at Li Yunqing.
Li Yunqing pondered for a moment. "A powerful demon passed through their mountain. They were the only family living there, and I happened to be nearby, so I drove the demon away."
"It seems that demon was seriously injured by you; it ran off to another place and devoured an entire town." Taki Sakonji was well aware of where Tanjiro came from, as a nearby town had been attacked by a powerful demon.
Without doubting Li Yunqing's words, Taki Sakonji recognized that the various techniques he employed were ones he had never seen before. It was clear that Li Yunqing had the strength to repel demons. Now he was just considering how formidable that demon must have been to escape from Li Yunqing.
"What kind of demon was it? How strong was it?"
Li Yunqing thought for a moment before deciding to speak honestly. "I’m not sure how strong it was; it seemed to have some sort of danger perception ability and ran away when it saw me."
In reality, Muzan had merely imagined himself being scared off. Although his danger perception was indeed ringing, it wasn't as severe as it seemed.
Moreover, at that time, Li Yunqing wasn't fully prepared; he hadn't concealed his aura properly until he reached Narrow Mist Mountain. Even Taki Sakonji's keen senses couldn't detect his true strength.
Hearing Li Yunqing's words, Taki Sakonji contemplated for a moment. "It has danger perception? Was it fast? Could you not catch up to it?"
"It wasn't fast for me," Li Yunqing replied.
"Then why didn't you kill it?" Taki Sakonji looked at Li Yunqing seriously, knowing that he must have had the means to slay demons.
"I had a premonition that killing it might bring about significant changes in this realm; the timeline could shift, and this world might awaken," Li Yunqing explained.
Taki Sakonji found himself unable to comprehend Li Yunqing's words. After some thought, he chose not to press further; he understood that Li Yunqing must have his reasons for acting as he did.
