Not everyone can become a member of the Demon Slayer Corps; simply having the desire to slay demons is far from enough. One also needs the corresponding abilities; otherwise, all it would do is provide a feast for the demons, and it might not even be enough to satisfy them.
Taki Sakonji glanced at Sera and Lilu Lu, noting their considerable burdens and lack of physical coordination. This body was not well-suited for sword training. There were some minor flaws in their physiques, but if they could pass the test, he would teach them the Breathing Technique and allow them to participate in the trials of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Sera and Lilu Lu exchanged glances and looked down at themselves. "Alright."
Seeing that they did not hesitate, Taki Sakonji nodded and turned to Li Yunqing. "Since you’re not learning with them, you can just wait here."
Li Yunqing understood that Taki Sakonji intended to take Sera and Lilu Lu up the mountain filled with traps before returning. He nodded at Taki Sakonji, then looked at Sera and Lilu Lu. "Good luck; the test isn’t difficult. Your physical qualities are already far beyond ordinary people."
"Okay, thank you, dear!"
Taki Sakonji watched as Li Yunqing said his goodbyes before heading up the mountain. "Keep up."
Sera and Lilu Lu exchanged another glance with Li Yunqing, who nodded in encouragement. They immediately took off after Taki Sakonji.
Although Taki Sakonji didn’t look back, he sensed that they were close behind him, keeping pace. It seemed their physical qualities truly exceeded those of ordinary people. He adjusted his Breathing Technique slightly and increased his speed.
Sera and Lilu Lu quickened their pace to keep up. "Can you still follow?"
"Alluring Water Breathing."
A hint of flowing water appeared beneath Taki Sakonji's feet as he accelerated further.
Sera and Lilu Lu were taken aback by Taki Sakonji's sudden movement, not because of his increased speed, but due to the appearance of flowing water. After a brief moment of surprise, they hurriedly followed him.
The three of them arrived simultaneously at a spot close to the mountain's peak. Taki Sakonji paused and turned to look at Sera and Lilu Lu. He noticed that they weren't out of breath, which surprised him slightly, and he nodded in approval. Their physical fitness was commendable; he wondered how their reflexes would hold up. They would wait for a short while before heading down to the cabin.

Sera and Lilu Lu watched as Taki Sakonji's figure turned and vanished from sight. As they looked in the direction he had gone, mist began to rise around them. The dense vegetation on Narrow Mist Mountain obscured their view, making it difficult to see what Taki Sakonji was up to. However, he had mentioned waiting for a short while, so they decided to do just that.
Sera and Lilu Lu took out a bench and sat down, timing themselves with their phones.
Soon, five minutes had passed. They put away the bench and glanced at the thickening mist. Sensing their surroundings, they found nothing unusual; it merely obstructed their vision, but they could easily ignore it.
With True Vision activated, they heightened their danger perception, enhanced their physical abilities, and sharpened their reflexes. They refrained from using any attribute-based skills since it seemed unnecessary for assessing their physical capabilities; employing strange skills might complicate things.
After boosting themselves, Sera and Lilu Lu dashed down the mountain together. Compared to their ascent, they descended much faster. Although Sera and Lilu Lu's physical abilities far exceeded those of ordinary people, the mechanisms designed along the way were still challenging to navigate compared to their agility.
The special ropes meant to trip them up were no match for Sera and Lilu Lu; they simply kicked through them with ease. The ropes didn’t pose much of a threat; however, the trees on either side were nearly toppled by their force.
The trap was triggered too slowly, only activating after Sera and Lilu Lu had passed through. Watching their descent, Taki Sakonji couldn't help but twitch his lips. What a bunch of reckless fools!
