The large tree exuded a decayed aura reminiscent of ghosts, yet it was undeniably alive. Even the air around felt significantly improved. Li Yunqing took a few breaths, wondering why it seemed to carry a hint of spiritual energy. It wasn't strong, but even a little could accumulate over time. Would he inadvertently awaken a spirit akin to that of a Demon Slayer?
He stroked his chin, contemplating, then shook his head. It wasn't likely. The Life Water couldn't transform this tree into a Tree of Life unless there were other opportunities involved.
At that moment, Sera and Lilu Lu clung to Li Yunqing's arm, curiously observing the transformed tree. "Master, what did you pour on it? How did the tree grow so suddenly?"
"Nothing much, just Life Water. It's something that can heal people and has special effects on plants."
"Is it precious?" Sera asked.
"Well, I suppose it's valuable? Do you want some? I have a whole lake of it."
Li Yunqing looked at Sera, who seemed interested.
Sera shook her head. "No, no! I was just curious."
"That's fine. If you ever want anything, just let me know. I can get it for you."
"Okay!" they replied in unison.
The three chatted for a while as the tree's evolution came to an end. Looking up, they saw that the tree's canopy was vast enough to block out the sun. A faint green light emanated from the trunk, illuminating the area before them as a figure slowly materialized from the void.
It was a man with bright green hair, dressed in clothes adorned with floral patterns.
The man showed respect towards Li Yunqing.
The benefactor had granted him a life-changing favor that he would never forget.
"It's nothing, just a small item," he said.
Li Yunqing waved his hand dismissively, indicating it was of no consequence.
Mu Sen shook his head. "What may seem like a small thing to you is a tremendous blessing for us. May I ask the name of the benefactor?"
"Li Yunqing."
Mu Sen committed the name to memory.
With a wave of his hand, a table and four chairs sprouted from the ground. "Please, take a seat. I will prepare you some tea made from the blossoms of the great tree; it should be quite refreshing."
As Li Yunqing and the others sat down, Mu Sen waved his hand again, and a teapot along with four teacups appeared. He reached towards the trunk of the great tree, inserting his hand inside and pulling out several slightly dried flowers.
He placed them into the teapot and gathered some dew from the surrounding blossoms. However, when it came time to boil the water, Mu Sen found himself in trouble; he didn't know how to start a fire.
Li Yunqing observed this and took the teapot from him, placing his hand beneath it. In no time at all, the water inside began to boil.
The fragrance of the flowers wafted through the air.
Li Yunqing poured a cup for Mu Sen first, then another for Sera and Lilu Lu, before finally pouring one for himself.
He sat down and took a sip from his cup. The tea was sweet, with only a hint of bitterness lingering at the end—so subtle that one might not notice it without careful tasting.
Sera and Lilu Lu drank cup after cup without hesitation.
Li Yunqing could only feel the floral aroma growing stronger around him. He glanced at his teacup and smiled.
This tea leaves a floral fragrance on the palate.
