Kei Yunqing casually conjured a water mirror to take a look. The flower crown was beautiful, but it didn't quite suit him. 0

"Is it pretty?" 0

"Very pretty!" 0

Kei Yunqing embraced Lilu Lu and gave her a kiss. 0

Sera, having just seen the enormous flowers, wandered over to take a look. Upon returning, she caught her sister sneaking a taste. She pouted, "I want some too!" 0

Sera dashed over to Kei Yunqing and looked up at him with eager eyes. 0

"Alright." 0

Kei Yunqing leaned down and kissed Sera as well. 0

Sera returned the kiss with a giggle. 0

"Hehe." 0

Kei Yunqing gently ruffled Sera's hair. "By the way, Master, I noticed there seemed to be someone beneath that giant flower." 0

"Really? Let's go check it out." 0

Kei Yunqing took one of Sera's hands in his and started walking in the direction she indicated. 0

As they approached, the surrounding area was filled with enormous plants, which felt distinctly off. In the center stood an exceptionally large tree, towering high with an expansive canopy that shaded a vast area beneath it. 0

Looking closer at Sera's mention of people, he saw several corpses leaning against the roots of the plants, appearing as if they were merely resting. Sera had only glanced before running back without paying much attention. 0

After sensing the atmosphere, he confirmed it—there were indeed spirits present. 0

Could this be the result of the Blood Demon Art causing the plants to grow so large? The foliage blocked out the sunlight; perhaps the spirits were hiding beneath these plants. 0

He scanned the surroundings and noted that there was no sign of civilization nearby; the town was quite far off, indicating this was likely an undeveloped area. 0

These corpses must have belonged to explorers who discovered the giant plants and sought to study them, only to meet a grim fate. 0

Looking up again at the enormous tree, its lush branches and leaves blocked most of the sunlight, also preventing the wandering crows in the sky from noticing anything unusual here. Although the tree was massive, it was not the only one around, so it did not attract the attention of the wandering crows. 0

"Let’s go take a look inside that tree," said Kei Yunqing. 0

"Hey? Is there a ghost?" Sera and Lilu Lu asked curiously. 0

Kei Yunqing nodded. In this world, anything that seemed out of the ordinary could be considered the work of a ghost. 0

"Oh!" 0

The tree was so large that it obscured much of the area around it. Only when they got beneath it did they realize just how towering it was. 0

Kei Yunqing dispelled the concealment spell, and instantly, a ghost within the tree detected his presence. 0

"Who are you? Why are you approaching here?" came an ancient, hoarse voice. 0

Kei Yunqing placed his hand on the tree to sense its energy. The ghost seemed to consider itself as nourishment for the tree. 0

"Is this how you nurture these plants? Or are you just mad?" 0

"We're just travelers who came to see this magnificent plant," he replied. 0

"Travelers? You think you can enter just because you want to see a big plant? What about those beautiful carnivorous flowers outside?" 0

Mu Sen silently sensed the presence of the three individuals. The aura was strange and faint; while it didn’t seem strong, being here indicated some level of power. The way they spoke without surprise suggested they knew he was a ghost. 0

"Demon Slayer Corps? You don’t look like them; you’re not wearing their uniforms and you don’t have a Nichirin Blade." 0

Noticing Mu Sen's fear, Kei Yunqing smiled. "Don’t worry, we mean no harm. Why don’t you tell us if you’re a good ghost or an evil spirit?" 0

"Good ghost," Mu Sen answered without any hesitation. 0

Kei Yunqing asked, without a hint of deceit in his voice, indicating that he truly believed he was a Good Ghost. Although there might be a slight difference in perception. 0

"Why do you think you are a Good Ghost?" 0

"After I became a ghost, I transformed into this tree. I grew taller and taller, and the plants around me also expanded. I haven't left this tree at all. Those who ventured here and died did so because of their own carelessness; they dared to enter despite the enormous plants. I never consumed their bodies; they simply merged into the ground to become nourishment." 0

Kei Yunqing nodded, still devoid of any hint of falsehood, and patted the large tree. 0

"Alright, you’ve passed. I won’t kill you." 0

Mu Sen let out a sigh of relief. To prevent himself from losing control and becoming a killer, he had turned himself into a tree. He discovered that the process of photosynthesis helped suppress his overwhelming desires. Thus, he stood there day after day, unwavering. 0
