Kei Yunqing casually picked up his phone from the bedside table and glanced at the time. Was it only a little past six? He had been waking up earlier and earlier lately.
Putting down the phone, he looked outside. In summer, dawn arrived early; although it was still quite dark, there was a hint of light breaking through. Despite having nothing pressing to do, he felt no desire to sleep, so Kei Yunqing got out of bed.
After a quick wash, he settled onto the balcony, which faced east and had no mountains nearby. Thus, he could still see the rising sun. He poured himself a glass of water and sat back, waiting for the sun to make its appearance.
As time passed, a streak of brightness in the sky grew increasingly radiant until the sun slowly peeked over the horizon. The newborn sun was neither yellow nor red but rather an orange hue.
Kei Yunqing found himself entranced, raising his hand to wave at the sun. To his surprise, it seemed to respond, sending forth a beam of light that ordinary people could not see, heading straight for the palm of his hand.
What is this? Kei Yunqing stared in confusion at the sun tattoo that appeared on his palm. After a moment, he felt a surge of heat enveloping him, as if dark energy was rising from his body like flames.
The dark energy gradually dissipated until it vanished completely. Kei Yunqing felt as if some shackles had been removed from him and that he had gained something new. He looked up at the sun, feeling an unusual sense of warmth and familiarity towards it.
Shaking his head, he thought that although he didn’t understand what had just happened, it didn’t seem like a bad thing.
“Master!”
Kei Yunqing turned around to see Sera and Lilu Lu standing respectfully behind him. Although the sun had just risen, the bedroom had curtains and did not face the sun directly; he should not have been exposed to its rays. So did that mean he woke up on his own?
He smiled. “How was your sleep?”
"That's great! Even though I went to bed so late, I woke up this morning feeling refreshed. And despite what happened yesterday, my body doesn't feel sore at all," Sera said excitedly.
Kei Yunqing nodded. After all, they were new beings, and they still had their vitality. After everything that happened yesterday, he had used the Horse Talisman to restore his body, but he wasn't sure if everything had fully recovered.
"Master, do you need us to prepare breakfast for you?"
"Oh? Can you cook?"
"Not really, but shouldn't we serve our master?"
Seeing Sera's adorable expression, Kei Yunqing gently touched her face.
"It's fine if you can't cook. Serving me is just your idea; to me, you are all like wives."
Kei Yunqing glanced at Lilu Lu, who also approached him. He reached out and touched her face as well.
Noticing that neither Sera nor Lilu Lu seemed bothered by it, Kei Yunqing smiled.
"Alright, are you hungry? Let me get you something to eat."
"Huh? Can you cook, Master?"
Sera looked at Kei Yunqing with curiosity, and Lilu Lu also gazed at him with interest.
In their impression, it seemed like no man could cook.
Kei Yunqing shook his head and led Sera and Lilu Lu to the dining table. He casually pulled out a large assortment of food.
"Huh? Where did all this come from? Is this some kind of magic? Master, you're amazing!"
Sera was astonished by Kei Yunqing's display and looked at him with admiration.
Kei Yunqing chuckled and tossed two storage rings to them.
"This ring is called the Royal Ring; it's a storage ring for holding items. Just focus your thoughts and sense the space within it, and you'll be able to take out things on your own."
Sera and Lilu Lu took the Royal Rings and put them on their ring fingers, then raised their hands to take a look.
Each of them grabbed a cup and began to experiment. At first, nothing seemed to happen, but eventually, the cups in their hands vanished only to reappear after a moment.
"That's incredible!"
