Kei Yunqing lay on the pillow, somewhat entranced, while his feet kept swinging back and forth.
Ah! The scent of Yun Qing Brother!
Gu Qingqing decided she didn't want to be in the living room anymore and preferred to stay on Yun Qing Brother's bed.
Shen Xin sat beside Kei Yunqing, accompanying him as he watched television. Kei Yunqing took out his phone from the room, connected it to the TV, and started playing Dou Po.
There were over a hundred episodes in total; he remembered it starting with more than a hundred, right? Had it been compressed so much?
Watching the special effects, sound effects, and action details on the screen, Kei Yunqing nodded in satisfaction. Finally, he had something to binge-watch.
Beside him, Shen Xin looked at Kei Yunqing connecting his phone to play a local video and wondered what kind of short video it would be, casting a puzzled glance at him before looking over at Wan Hong.
Three people? Isn't that a bit much?
Her worries were unfounded; it wasn't a short video but a long one. Checking the progress bar, it was an hour per episode, and there were so many episodes left.
Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be a TV drama?
She didn't think she had seen it before, but the name sounded familiar—Dou Po? She had watched Dou Po too, but the actors weren't these people!
The special effects were far superior to those cheap ones she had seen before.
However, the storyline seemed different from what she remembered of Dou Po.
"Li Yunqing, is this really Dou Po? Why does it seem different from what I've seen?"
Kei Yunqing and Wan Hong were engrossed in the show when they heard Shen Xin's question and turned to look at her.
"Oh, this is Dou Po," Kei Yunqing explained. "But it's not the version online; it's something my friend made himself. They sent it to me to watch. This won't be posted online; it's just for personal use."
He wouldn't mention that it was some Novel Conversion Device; whether she believed it or not didn't matter to him. After all, wasn't making something out of nothing a skill everyone could have?
Shen Xin nodded thoughtfully.
"I see. Your friend must be quite wealthy to have so many episodes with such great special effects and action without putting them online."
"Yeah, they're all rich folks; if they're interested in something, they'll make it happen."
Shen Xin didn't say much more; she didn't understand how wealthy people thought. Instead, she settled in comfortably to watch television.
The three of them had been sitting there until evening, and it wasn't until Gu Qingqing pushed open the bedroom door that they realized how late it had gotten.
"I'm so hungry! Why is it so dark in your room?" Gu Qingqing rubbed her eyes and walked over to turn on the light.
As the room brightened, her words jolted Kei Yunqing and the others into action. They pulled out their phones to check the time—it was already eight-thirty.
"Time flies! I didn't even notice!" Shen Xin glanced at the clock, not too concerned since it was Sunday and she could still have fun.
However, Wan Hong, being the obedient daughter at home, always kept her family updated no matter where she was. Today, she had simply told them she was out with friends, but now it was so late and she still hadn't returned home.
Her family was probably worried sick. They had tried calling her, but her phone had been on silent all afternoon due to constant message notifications, so she hadn't heard them.
Wan Hong quickly stepped aside to call her family back.
Gu Qingqing didn't mind; her family wasn't very strict with her.
Kei Yunqing looked at Wan Hong and then at Shen Xin and Gu Qingqing. "Are you guys going home? It's already eight-thirty. Should I order takeout first so we can eat before heading back?"
"We're not in a hurry. Let's see what Hong Hong decides. Let's order takeout first," Gu Qingqing said as she settled into the spot Wan Hong had just vacated, turning her attention to the television.
Shen Xin nodded in agreement, indicating her approval of Gu Qingqing's suggestion, and continued watching TV.
Kei Yunqing glanced at both of them before pulling out his phone. "Alright, I'll order takeout then. Is there anything you can't eat?"
"Nothing!"
