The Demon Suppression decree consisted of just a few dozen runes, shining with golden light. Each rune acted like a barrier, blocking Tu Li's Sha Qi.

But unfortunately, a master is still a master, and a disciple is just a disciple. You are not yet worthy to contend with me. Do you know what my most powerful technique is?" Tu Li sneered arrogantly.
"In my eyes, your techniques are nothing special—mere tricks and illusions," Jia Xingliang replied, slightly raising his head with pride. Since they were going to fight today, he needed to be fully confident; if the enemy's momentum was three feet high, his own must be three zhang.
Tu Li frowned; he considered himself quite arrogant but did not expect that his old rival's disciple would be even more so.

The Skullhead emitted black mist in Tu Li's hand, which spread like vines along his arm. Soon, his entire arm was covered in flowing black energy. The mist was as thick as ink and seemed almost alive. Before long, dark veins began to swell beneath his skin; his neck and face twisted into a sinister appearance.
Seeing Tu Li transform in such a manner made Jia Xingliang furrow his brow and adopt a serious expression. One hand had already drawn the Seven Star Sword from behind him.
Jia Xingliang knew all too well the power of this Skullhead. Although he looked down on dark sorcery and evil paths, it couldn't be denied that sometimes those who walked such paths were driven to desperation and burned their own life force in fierce battles; under such circumstances, they could be even more formidable than righteous practitioners.
