Although the light in the cave was very dim, faint glimmers of fluorescence could still be seen on the cave walls. Fei Bao flew at the front, his keen night vision allowing him to easily avoid protruding rocks and low-hanging stalactites.
"Watch your heads!" Fei Bao occasionally reminded his companions behind him. "There's a big rock on the right; we need to go around it."
Xi Xi walked beside Xiao Zhuzi, her antennae constantly sensing the surrounding environment, providing extra vigilance for Xiao Zhuzi. After a while, Fei Bao, who had been scouting ahead, suddenly turned back and whispered excitedly, "It seems like there's something glowing up ahead! It's not the faint fluorescence of the cave walls; it's a brighter and more unusual light!"
The three little friends exchanged glances and instinctively quickened their pace towards the mysterious light source. As they drew closer, the glow grew increasingly bright. Finally, they arrived at a spacious cavern and were met with an astonishing sight.
"Wow!" Xiao Zhuzi exclaimed, her voice echoing in the vast cave.
In that moment, all three little creatures realized one thing—they were likely about to uncover a long-buried secret.
In the center of the cavern floated a massive spiral-shaped gem, known as the legendary Time-Space Spiral Gem. This gem appeared to be composed of countless layers of transparent crystal sheets spiraling upwards, with a core of deep ocean blue that gradually transitioned to bright purple and then to a soft pink at its edges, finally fading into an almost transparent pale gold. These colors were not static; they flowed within the gem as if alive.
The Time-Space Spiral Gem rotated slowly, and standing beside it felt as if one could hear the subtle sound of time flowing. The enchanting colors seemed to contain boundless energy, creating an invisible allure.
"Time-Space Spiral Gem... it's so beautiful!" Xi Xi murmured.
At that moment, Fei Bao's sharp eyes caught something. "Look over there! Isn't that Moonlit Sky Herb?" he exclaimed, pointing with his wings at something beneath the gem.
Xiao Zhuzi and Xi Xi hurried a few steps forward to take a closer look. Surrounding the ground beneath the gem were clusters of silvery-white plants that shimmered softly in its glow.
These silvery plants had no distinct stems; their leaves seemed to grow directly from the ground. Each cluster consisted of seven to nine crescent-shaped leaves that elegantly curved in a spiral arrangement, echoing the spiral shape of the Time-Space Spiral Gem above them.
"There’s no mistake! That must be Moonlit Sky Herb! Look at its spiral shape; it must have some mysterious connection with this Time-Space Spiral Gem!" Xiao Zhuzi said excitedly, her eyes glistening with tears. "We finally found it! Finally... I can go home!"
Xi Xi walked over and gently hugged Xiao Zhuzi, comforting her. "Yes, Xiao Zhuzi, we did it! You're about to reunite with your mom and dad! This is a joyous occasion; don’t cry."
Fei Bao also flew over to Xiao Zhuzi's side and gently wiped away her tears with his wings. "Alright, Xiao Zhuzi, no more crying. We still have a task to complete. We need to safely bring Moonlit Sky Herb back."
His words reminded Xiao Zhuzi and Xi Xi, who quickly smiled and wiped their tears away. Hand in hand, they cautiously approached the Time-Space Spiral Gem and Moonlit Sky Herb, discovering that there was no danger. Then Xi Xi took out a small jar from her backpack—a special container prepared by Dragonfly Elder before their departure for storing precious plants. Xiao Zhuzi carefully dug up several roots of Moonlit Sky Herb and placed them gently into the jar.
At that moment, something shiny nearby caught Xiao Zhuzi's attention. She bent down and discovered a small colorful spiral-shaped gem on the ground near the larger gem. This mini gem was only palm-sized but bore an astonishing resemblance in shape and luster to the floating large gem as if it were a fragment that had fallen from above.
"Look at this!" Xiao Zhuzi said excitedly as she carefully picked up the Little Gem. When she held it in her hands, she felt a warm energy flowing through her body.
Fei Bao and Xi Xi gathered around to take a look. "How amazing!" Fei Bao said. "It’s like a miniature version of the big gem."
Xi Xi gently touched the Little Gem with her antennae and pondered for a moment before saying, "It’s likely that the earthquake which destroyed Owl Temple also affected Lonely Cloud Peak here; that's why a piece of Time-Space Spiral Gem broke off and fell."
