As the Ground Sky Squad celebrated their victory in the Grass Leaf Forest Defense Battle, the three members bid farewell to Little Loach, Lightning, and the Mudfish Clan, continuing their journey to Baihua Island. 0

The experiences they had encountered along the way had transformed Xiao Zhuzi completely. She was no longer the delicate, timid girl she once was; the strength, passion, and adventurous spirit deep within her had been awakened. 0

Xiao Zhuzi cherished and deeply appreciated her new friends—Little Dragonfly Flying Leopard and Xi Xi. To avoid burdening them, she had been trying to walk on her own in recent days, not wanting to trouble Little Dragonfly Flying Leopard and Xi Xi with carrying her. Only when she longed to soar through the skies would she ask Little Dragonfly Flying Leopard to take her up high, relishing the joy of flying freely. 0

On the fifth day of their journey to Baihua Island, the Ground Sky Squad arrived at the edge of a peculiar forest. The air was thick with mist, giving it an air of mystery. Faced with this sight, the three friends exchanged hesitant glances. At that moment, Xi Xi suggested, “Fei Bao, can you fly a bit higher and see if there’s another path we can take around this forest?” 0

“Sure thing!” Before Xi Xi finished speaking, Fei Bao had already performed an agile flip and soared into the sky, disappearing in an instant. 0

After a brief moment, Little Fei Bao returned with a somewhat dejected expression. He told Xiao Zhuzi and Xi Xi, “This forest is just too vast; I can’t see an end in sight. If we try to go around it, I don’t know how long it will take…” 0

Xiao Zhuzi took a deep breath and decisively said, “Since we can’t go around it, we’ll have to go through it! It’s just mist; there’s nothing to be afraid of! Let’s go!” 0

Xi Xi grabbed hold of Xiao Zhuzi, who was about to stride forward. With a helpless smile, she said, “Hold on! Why are you becoming more like Fei Bao? So impulsive!” 0

“Hey! What do you mean I’m becoming more impulsive? I don’t like that!” Fei Bao immediately protested but received no response. At that moment, Xi Xi was cautiously approaching the edge of the forest to check things out. She extended her antennae gently to touch the boundary of the mist and nodded after a moment. “Let’s go; this mist shouldn’t be toxic; it’s safe.” 0

Thus, Xiao Zhuzi and Xi Xi huddled closely together and slowly stepped onto the faintly visible path within the mysterious Mistwood Forest. Fei Bao followed closely behind, muttering incessantly that he was not impulsive at all but rather the most level-headed Little Dragonfly in existence. 0

The Mistwood Forest was eerily quiet; not even a single insect or bird could be heard. The rustling sound they made as they walked on the thick layer of fallen leaves echoed ominously in the strange silence before quickly dissipating into the dense fog as if swallowed by the forest. As they ventured deeper, sunlight overhead was completely blocked by the dense foliage above them; mist swirled around them in a dim haze that narrowed their field of vision significantly. Fei Bao nervously closed his mouth and stopped chattering; he quietly moved closer to his companions. Throughout their journey, the three little ones remained highly alert, glancing around anxiously. 0

Fei Bao led the way ahead, straining his eyes to find direction in the thick fog. Every so often, he would look back to ensure that Xiao Zhuzi and Xi Xi were keeping up. Xiao Zhuzi placed her hand on Xi Xi’s back while Xi Xi carefully used her antennae to probe the ground and surrounding environment, guiding Xiao Zhuzi away from slippery moss and tree roots hidden beneath fallen leaves. 0

After walking for a while, the mist grew thicker around them, and an unusual fragrance began to fill the air. Suddenly, a strange wind blew from deep within the forest; Xi Xi immediately sensed something was off. She quickly waved her antennae to signal her friends to stop. Almost simultaneously, a dense purple mist surged from a thicket nearby like a tidal wave rushing towards them! 0

“Be careful! This mist is toxic! Cover your mouth and nose!” Xi Xi shouted urgently. “Xiao Zhuzi, quickly climb onto my back!” 0

Without hesitation, Xiao Zhuzi scrambled onto Xi Xi’s back and covered her mouth and nose with her elbow to minimize inhaling any toxic fumes. Fei Bao's vision was severely impaired by the thick fog; he flew upward with all his might in an attempt to find an escape route from above. However, that eerie purple mist seemed almost alive as it rapidly closed in on him; he had no choice but to speed up to evade its encroachment. 0

Without Fei Bao's aerial navigation, Xi Xi had to rely on her keen sense of smell as she braved the risk of poisoning while searching for a glimmer of hope amidst the toxic fog. Soon enough, she discerned that there should be a stream nearby; where there is water, there is life—perhaps its flow could dilute the poisonous mist. This was their only hope! 0

“Fei Bao! Fly west! There’s water over there!” Xi Xi shouted loudly as she pointed him in that direction. 0

They ran desperately in an effort to escape from the increasingly dense purple fog that relentlessly pursued them like a shadow. Their vision gradually became completely obscured as the fragrant aroma intensified in suffocating waves that left them dizzy. Xi Xi's steps grew heavier as well; despite her discomfort, she gritted her teeth and pushed herself forward with all her strength. She silently told herself: “I cannot fall down! I must get Xiao Zhuzi to the stream before I pass out!” 0

Just as they were about to be engulfed by the purple mist, a refreshing breeze filled with moisture rushed toward them. Indeed, Xi Xi's intuition was correct—a clear stream appeared before them! The gentle sound of flowing water resonated beautifully within the eerie silence of Mistwood Forest. Before Xiao Zhuzi could jump down into it, she felt herself suddenly tilt beneath her feet and lost her balance before tumbling downwards. Struggling to get up, she realized that it was because Xi Xi had finally collapsed at the edge of the purple mist. 0
