Along the way, Hua Hua had established trust with her new companion, Xiao Zhuzi, and shared much about Grass Leaf Forest. The majority of the Chong Chong residents in Grass Leaf Forest were kind-hearted, living peacefully in their respective villages. However, about two years ago, a group of vicious Giant Moths suddenly invaded the tranquil Grass Leaf Forest. These creatures were nothing short of ruthless bandits, plundering everywhere and attacking many Chong Chong residents. Fear spread among the inhabitants, causing them to hide in their homes and avoid going out, making life extremely inconvenient. Some residents could no longer bear the torment and were forced to leave Grass Leaf Forest.
Not all Chong Chong chose to endure in silence; there were also those who rose up in resistance, such as Mr. Hummingbird. Originally a knowledgeable scholar, he stepped forward in times of crisis and led the formation of the Rebel Alliance, becoming the spiritual leader of the coalition forces. Currently, the elite core of the Rebel Alliance consists of two teams: one is the Hummingbird Squad, an elite unit skilled in aerial combat; the other is the Spider Squad, known for its high mobility and excellent stealth capabilities. These two teams worked seamlessly together, shouldering the responsibility of protecting the safety of Grass Leaf Forest's residents.
“Wow, Hummingbird Air Combat Team and Spider Guerrilla Team! Just hearing their names sounds so cool!” Xiao Zhuzi exclaimed, blinking at Hua Hua. “Hua Hua, are you also a member of the Rebel Alliance?”
“That's right!” Hua Hua nodded. “I’m a member of the Rebel Alliance's Intelligence Team, responsible for delivering information and gathering intelligence on the enemy. So I really need to recover quickly!”
Fortunately, the effects of Scattering Blood Grass were indeed miraculous; Hua Hua's injured wings had almost completely stopped hurting. Throughout their journey, Xiao Zhuzi had been mimicking her mother’s technique—after every dance class, her mother would massage her arms and calves to relieve fatigue—gently massaging Hua Hua’s wings. Soon enough, Hua Hua was able to start moving her wings slowly.
Before they knew it, the Ground Sky Squad had ventured far from Grass Leaf Forest. Under the cover of night, with stars twinkling above them, they arrived at a clear stream with gentle flowing water. The stream babbled softly, reflecting the starlight above like a flowing galaxy. Snail Village Chief suggested they take a break for a while. Just as they settled down, a sudden buzzing sound emerged from beyond the thick darkness of night—a deep and powerful sound that resembled distant war drums.
Hua Hua’s keen senses immediately detected impending danger; her antennae trembled violently as fear flashed in her eyes. “Oh no! That sound… it’s coming from Giant Moths! And judging by the volume, there must be more than one! Everyone quickly find a place to hide!”
But it was too late; the speed of these Giant Moths was astonishing! The buzzing grew louder as it approached! Three enormous and terrifying moths broke through the night mist, their wings shimmering with an eerie glow under the moonlight like three sharp scythe-like blades, swooping down toward Ground Sky Squad.
At that moment, Xiao Zhuzi was paralyzed with fear; she vaguely heard Snail Village Chief and Ladybug calling her name desperately, but she felt as if she were under a spell—her body was stiffened and she couldn’t move a single finger. Everything around her seemed to slow down; time felt like it had shifted into slow motion. Xiao Zhuzi could even see the air swirling around her in small vortices. In this bizarre slow-motion scene, an extremely ugly giant moth was inching closer to her. This Giant Moth was covered in disgusting tufts of hair at every joint and had a face full of thick fur and tiny scales; its mouth gaped wide open to reveal jagged and razor-sharp teeth.
The shadow cast by the massive body of the Giant Moth completely enveloped Xiao Zhuzi! She wanted to scream but found her throat blocked as if something was choking her voice. Fear surged like a tidal wave, swallowing her whole; she felt as if she could hardly breathe. Yet just when she expected pain to arrive, a large black figure suddenly descended from above and stood protectively in front of Xiao Zhuzi! Before she could even see who it was that saved her, Snail Village Chief and Hua Hua had already pulled her aside.
The frightened little girl looked up and was astonished to find that it was a gigantic Black Spider that had just saved her life! This was perhaps the largest creature Xiao Zhuzi had ever seen since birth! It stood as tall as a two-story building with eight furry legs firmly planted on the ground; its black body was covered with various terrifying scars. Accompanying it were dozens of Little Spiders—though these Little Spiders could be considered "tiny" compared to their massive counterpart, each one was still three times larger than Snail Village Chief!
