The familiar sound of snoring filled the air as the dog lay at Zhuo Ya's feet, enjoying her gentle caresses. Occasionally, it would open its mouth to accept the pieces of bone and meat she offered. Zhuo Ya picked up a bottle and took a swig, then remarked to Old Father that Old Liu's next opponent had been announced.
"That was quick," she said, shaking her head. "He chose it himself. Just over an hour after he made his announcement, Zhu Sheng Gou Yang San Lang from Oni's side posted on social media, saying that Old Liu was overestimating his abilities and challenged him to a match. Old Liu accepted."
She took a bite of cucumber salad. "It won't be long before our Free Fighting League arranges their match. As usual, they'll sign the contract first and then select the venue and time. It will probably take at least half a year."
"I think I've heard of Zhu Sheng Gou Yang San Lang; that name is quite memorable," Xu Li said, scratching his chin.
Zhuo Ya chuckled lightly, her breath tinged with alcohol. "He's an experienced fighter, relying on his bulk and endurance. His record is mixed, but he probably sees Old Liu's youth as an opportunity to leverage his experience in this match."
"I have to see this live," Xu Li declared, taking a swig from the bottle. "If my son is fighting Oni, this old man will definitely be there."

Xiao Qi and Xiao Ba raised their chubby hands in excitement. For those of Chinese descent, eating, sleeping, and fighting Oni had become second nature. Other ethnicities might endure some things, but when it came to fighting Oni, no one was willing to back down—unless the opponent was a traitor.

Xu Jiatai chimed in eagerly, both boys' eyes filled with disdain for Oni. "Blow up those beasts!"
"Hahaha, well said!" Xu Li laughed as he affectionately ruffled their hair. "Blood debts must be repaid with blood. The Oni owe us a blood debt that you must never forget."
"We won't forget!"
Xu Jiatai nodded seriously while he and Xiao Qi devoured skewers of grilled meat and fruits, their mouths making quite the noise as they ate. Irina smiled as she shook her phone playfully. "If you two don't study in the future, I'll show you this video."
Xu Li lit a cigarette and opened his phone, sending the video to Peter, the Old American. Below the video, he typed: "If your next opponent is really Oni, make sure to beat him to a pulp. Your brother knows he needs to take down Oni, and as his older brother, you must fulfill that too."
