With a grin that resembled a fool, Xu Li placed a Cheese Crab Stick on the turntable. He glanced at the shy yet fearful little girl and then at Tamishova sitting beside her. Smiling, he pulled out a prepared Red Envelope from his pocket and handed it to the girl. "Since this is our first meeting, Uncle doesn't have any gifts for you, so here's a Red Envelope. Let Larryf take you into the city to buy a couple of nice outfits." 0

"Thank you, Uncle!" Natasha carefully accepted the Red Envelope, instinctively squeezing it—what a thick stack! 0

"Wow, the village chief is generous," Larryf said as he opened the Red Envelope and took a quick look. Grinning, he told his girlfriend to keep it safe. "Tomorrow I'll get you a card so you can save up for things you like to eat or wear online. When we get married, the village chief will give us two big Red Envelopes too." 0

Valery observed Natasha, who seemed lost in thought, then glanced at Ivan, who was busy feeding his daughter. He shot an annoyed look at his Old Son. "Look at you, acting so useless. Before Ivan and Lana got their marriage certificate, Makarov gave them an enormous Red Envelope. You guys are nowhere near that." 0

"Seriously?" Larryf quickly turned to Ivan, who was pretending to be invisible. "How big was the Red Envelope from the village chief?" 0

"Don't call our Ivan 'invisible,' got it?" Before Ivan could respond, Lana jumped in to defend him. Larryf chuckled awkwardly and moved on. Ivan handed over a peeled crab stick and wiped his hands with a napkin before speaking up: "The village chief gave us twenty thousand dollars; we spent one hundred thousand rubles on the car. The drinks and snacks for the wedding banquet were also covered by him." 0

"That's so unfair!" Larryf immediately felt disgruntled and stood up to confront Xu Li but was caught by Valery, who grabbed him by the collar and gave him a few playful slaps on the head. "Are you still complaining about me making a fool of myself? Huh?" 0

"Uncle, please stop hitting him!" Natasha pleaded, grabbing Valery's raised hand as laughter erupted in the cafeteria. Victor's voice rang out the loudest: "Come on, Old Russian! Why aren't you hitting him anymore? Is it because you're too weak?" 0

"Shut your mouth!" Valery snapped, shaking off Natasha's grip, which only made everyone laugh harder. Once seated again, he pointed at his Old Son and began lecturing: "Makarov has never been biased; before we started working at the ranch, he told us that whoever works hard and does well gets paid more." 0

"You should take a good look at yourself; you hang around with Zhukov and those guys all day long. It’s fine when the ranch isn’t busy, but during peak times of the year, you’re either slacking off or sneaking out at night to mess around." 0

"When you were slacking off, Ivan worked from dawn till dusk—if asked to work overtime, he did it without complaint. What do you have to compare with others? This is my last piece of advice for you: no one can question Makarov; otherwise, I’ll skin you alive." 0

"Larryf, promise me you won’t slack off anymore." 0

Natasha shook her boyfriend's arm playfully. "You’re really good-looking, unlike my dad and brother; their faces are all hairy and ugly." She continued with a teasing tone about how her father used to be lazy when he was young but later left everything for her mother to handle. "If you don’t like working, I’ll help you out." 0

"He wouldn’t dare." 0
