As she spoke, she began to undress, but the man slapped her across the face and said, "Don't be foolish. You're not like them." He lit a cigarette and adjusted his clothes. "You're only twenty, younger than my son. Why would you degrade yourself? If you want to sleep with an old man like me, why not find a wealthy young man instead?" 0

He pinched Lana's flushed cheek. "You should find someone closer to your age, have a few kids with him, and build a happy family. Unlike Daria and the others, who can only huddle together for warmth every day. They have no children or ties, but you have Natasha and Katyusha to think about." 0

"Following me has no future; you'll only waste your youth on this old man without getting the life you want." He gazed into her numb, hollow eyes. "In a month, the weather will warm up. I'll help you build a house; find a man you like this time. Be sure to choose wisely—don't let yourself be deceived again. In my eyes, you're just a young girl, an immature and willful child." 0

"Think about your children. Find them a reliable father so they won't end up like you, without anyone to stand up for them when they're bullied. Is that really what you want? While you're still young, experience what love is. Sometimes children are just the seasoning in a romantic relationship." 0

He gently hugged the dazed Lana and kissed her forehead. "Remember to bring the man you like to my house; I'll make sure he's good enough for you. Now get some rest." 0

Watching the tall figure of the man leave, Lana covered her mouth and slowly crouched down. All she wanted was someone to lean on; she didn't want her children to end up like her. Yet she lacked the foresight he had suggested. Perhaps he was right—she was still young and had plenty of time. 0

There aren't many reliable wealthy men; it's better to find someone she likes who is willing to work hard and not hit her children—that would be a perfect family! 0

"What are you daydreaming about?" Daria wiggled over with her curvy hips, waving her small hand adorned with bright red nail polish in front of Lana's face. Finally snapping back to reality, Lana shyly mumbled, "Nothing." 0

"Nothing? Your eyes are all glazed over! What were you thinking about—a man?" 0

Lana's ears turned bright red as she stole a glance at the other women in the office and tugged at Daria's short skirt. "Sister, what do you think of Ivan?" 0

"Ivan? The quiet one from Victor's family?" Daria thought of him—the guy who couldn't even muster a decent conversation—and pouted. "Hard to say." 0

She led the relatively plain-dressed Lana into the office, closed the door without caring about Lana's anxiousness, and leaned over the desk where Misha was working. "Lana seems to have taken a liking to Victor's eldest son—are you heartbroken?" 0

"Stop it." Xu Li stood up and helped Daria into his Boss Chair, pointing at the report on the monitor. "Help me with this." 0

He waved at Lana as they both sat on the sofa. After pondering for a moment, he asked, "I think Larry and his friends are pretty good—why did you think of Ivan? That guy just got divorced and doesn't have a good relationship with his family; marrying him means you'll have no elders to support you." 0
