Be Careful, It's Hot
Huang San Shi handed a damp cloth to Xu Jiaping, instructing him to wrap it around the ear of the clay pot. The two brothers inhaled the delicious aroma of the food, their mouths watering as they eagerly swallowed. Jiang Xin and the others set up the large dining table and brought in chairs.
Soon, bowls brimming with generous portions of dishes were placed on the table. The brothers fetched two large bowls from the cupboard and filled them to the brim with rice, happily sitting at the table waiting for everyone else to join.
Gurgle, gurgle.
As they looked at the food before them, their stomachs rumbled incessantly. Xu Jiaping counted the number of people and turned to the three older gentlemen at the head of the table: "Uncle, everyone is here; can we eat now?"
He Ling glanced around and noticed that Du Tao and Yu had not yet arrived. Frowning slightly, she got up and went to check on their room, only to find them sound asleep with a fan blowing on them. She gently tapped Du Tao's leg: "Ah Tao, Ah Tao."
"Hmm?"
Du Tao rubbed his eyes sleepily and sat up: "What’s wrong, brother?"
"It's time to eat."
"Oh, okay."
He put on his shoes and scratched his arm: "There are so many mosquitoes here. Brother, why don’t we shoot during the day and stay at a hotel at night?"
"Be careful that Yang Dao reports you."
He Ling shot him a glare before waking Yu. The three of them took their seats at the dining table. Huang San Shi looked somewhat displeased: "I’ve been busy preparing dinner for you all, and you still need someone to call you twice to eat?"
Sha Yi nudged him with his knee and picked up his chopsticks: "Eat, eat! You’ve been on planes and in cars all day; you must be exhausted!"
He picked up a piece of chicken leg and handed it to Huang San Shi: "Old Huang, you’ve worked hard; have some chicken."
"Wow, this is delicious!"
Xu Jiaguo took a bite of stir-fried cured meat and immediately gave Huang San Shi a thumbs-up: "Uncle Huang’s cooking is really amazing!"
"Yes, yes, it’s delicious."
Xu Jiaping's mouth was full of food as he nodded vigorously in agreement. Yang Mi held a small soup bowl containing just a bit more than half a bowl of rice, eating slowly like she was feeding a cat. Looking at her small bowl and then at the brothers’ large bowls, she couldn’t help but exclaim: "You guys are eating so much; aren’t you afraid of getting fat?"
"No way! After we finish eating, we’ll rest for an hour and then exercise."
Xu Jiaping held his bowl while accepting two pieces of cured meat that Jiang Xin offered him, happily munching away and remembering to thank her: "Thanks, sis! Hehe."
"Go ahead and eat."
Jiang Xin watched as the brothers devoured their food and felt that she could eat much more today as well. Yu took a piece of cured meat but set aside the fatty part on the table, chewing slowly like a lady. Meanwhile, Du Tao beside her ate without any restraint.
He Ling thought for a moment before getting up and heading to the main room. He brought back two bottles of white liquor and a bag of disposable cups. "Does anyone want to drink?"
"I'll have some," said Brother.
The others, except for Du Tao, shook their heads in refusal. The five female stars, varying in age, all had a surprisingly uniform appetite; they barely touched their food before putting down their bowls, declaring themselves full. Rain also took a couple of bites before setting down her bowl. "You three take your time eating; I'm full."
Sha Yi took a sip of his drink and raised an eyebrow. "Is that all you're eating?"
