"Dad, we got first place!" 0

Looking at the excited faces of the children on the screen, Xu Li smiled broadly. "Congratulations! From now on, you are no longer ordinary people. Every word and action of yours will be under scrutiny. Any small mistake will be magnified by others. I hope you can persevere." 0

"We will!" 0

After hanging up the phone, Xu Li tossed his mobile onto the table, lit a cigarette, and smoked silently. Anna and Eva were in the bedroom taking a bath, giggling and chatting about who knows what. 0

"Uncle, hurry up and open the door!" 0

Bang! Bang! Bang! 0

In March, the nights in Siberia were still cold. Zhukov was pounding on the gate of the Village Chief's House when Xu Li hurried out wearing a coat. "What's going on?" 0

"There are reindeer coming to our pasture!" 0

Zhukov shouted excitedly from outside. Upon hearing about the reindeer, Xu Li's interest was piqued. He opened the gate and let Zhukov in, then went to change his clothes while Zhukov waited in the living room. He tossed an unopened pack of cigarettes to the young man, who grinned widely. 0

Xu Li drove the Mighty Warrior out of the yard and stopped. Zhukov closed the gate behind him and hopped into the passenger seat. "Uncle, Gennady just contacted us and said there are reindeer tracks outside Cattle Shed No. 3. I tried calling you, but you didn't answer, so he sent me to get you." 0

"I forgot to charge my phone last night." 0

Last night, he had been too busy enjoying intimate moments with his wife; they had only just fallen asleep when Zhukov came knocking. The Mighty Chariot drove through the vast snowy landscape, occasionally bumping over uneven ground. The heating in the car took a while to kick in, leaving Zhukov shivering slightly. 0

"If you wear a couple more layers, you won't be cold." 0

Glancing at Zhukov, Xu Li couldn't help but smirk. Zhukov stuffed his hands into his pockets, hunching his shoulders and neck. "Uncle, there's a fireplace in Cattle Shed; it's warm there. I ran over to get some exercise and I'm not cold at all. It's your car that’s slow to heat up. Why don’t you just switch cars? I don’t mind driving this old one." 0

That cheeky kid is trying to pull a fast one on me. 0

Xu Li shot him an annoyed look. "Learn from Alexander properly; save some money over the next couple of years so you can buy whatever car you want. You're not a kid anymore, Zhukov; it’s time to be more responsible and think about finding a girl to settle down with." 0

"Got it, Uncle." 0

Zhukov felt exhausted by this conversation; why were all the older generations so long-winded? 0

Creaking open the door, Xu Li entered just as Gennady motioned for Victor and Yegor to make room by the fireplace for him. Zhukov shivered as he sat down next to it, pouring himself a generous glass of vodka before taking a swig and biting into a meat sausage with satisfaction. "I feel alive again." 0

"Let’s hear it." 0

Xu Li ruffled Zhukov's hair as he settled beside him by the fireplace, picking up an ear of corn and peeling off its husk to eat. Gennady grinned widely. "Just now when Yegor and I were out on patrol, we heard clear calls from reindeer—more than one! There are scattered tracks in the snow behind Cattle Shed." 0

Not far from the cattle shed was a forest, and these reindeer might have wandered over from the wild. Should we catch them and raise them? 0

Victor looked excitedly at Xu Li, while Yegor nodded in agreement. "Yes, yes! Our ranch is so big, and there's still a large piece of land that isn't being used. It would be perfect to enclose it and raise reindeer. I lived with my grandmother for several years when I was young, and raising reindeer is not difficult at all." 0
