"Grandpa," Xu Weixia asked uncertainly, "what is your relationship with the Emperor?"
With a chuckle, he formally introduced himself. He smiled broadly and extended his right hand to shake hands with Xiao Nianqing. "My name is Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. I once held a significant position, but now I'm just trying to maintain the status quo of the country."
Seeing Xiao Nianqing staring at him motionlessly, he tightened his grip on her hand. Xiao Nianqing rolled her eyes and leaned back against the sofa, while Alexander smacked his lips and said, "So it's you, Xiao Nianqing. Just hearing a name has knocked you out cold."
The Emperor Ci He smiled lightly. "That's normal. After all, you've lived together for several years. Suddenly appearing here and encountering an elder you never dared to imagine requires some psychological adjustment."
"True," Alexander said as he sat beside Xu Weixia, playfully pinching the other’s fair little face. "Wake up, hey hey, wake up!"
"Ugh!" Xu Weixia was jolted awake by his father-in-law's pinch and immediately swatted away the large hand. Turning sideways, he looked at the Emperor with admiration, his excitement evident on his face. "Grandpa, you are my idol! My admiration for you is like the endless flow of the Yangtze River; it cannot be contained, just like the Yellow River in flood!"
"Alright, alright, enough with the flattery," Alexander interrupted impatiently. "You should know what you can say and what you can't."
"Of course!" Xu Weixia replied eagerly, patting his chest so hard that he started coughing. After a moment to recover, he continued, "I may not have many strengths, but I am very cautious with my words!"
"I thought you were afraid of me," the Emperor teased with a laugh.
Xu Weixia grinned widely. "Why would I be afraid of you? I’m not a thief or a robber; you're my elder! I was just too excited earlier!"
"Now that you know my position, have you thought about taking advantage of me?" The Emperor asked half-jokingly.
Xu Weixia shook his head firmly. "My older brother and I will be singing together in the future; my sister will stay with our parents to help look after the ranch. My two younger brothers are in Huaxia and probably won’t come back to live here. Only my youngest brother might cause some trouble, but he's quite lazy and doesn't have citizenship here, so he definitely won't be a bother to you."
"That sounds good," the Emperor said with a satisfied smile. They continued chatting about light topics until dinner began. When he entered the living room with Xu Lao, others didn't react much; however, Xu Weihua suddenly jumped up and stammered a greeting: "Hello!"
"Hahaha! Relax, young man!" The Emperor opened his arms and hugged Angelina before ruffling Kamila's hair. "It's nice to see you again, little girl."
"Mm-hmm! Hello, Grandpa!"
Kamila needed to be more composed than her boyfriend, especially since she had previously received his summons and had been encouraged by him. Alexander pulled out a chair and waited for the Emperor to take his seat before sitting at his right side. Beside him were his eldest son, Aleksei, Xu Weixia, Xu Weihua, and Kamila. On the other side sat Maria, Yekaterina, Yelena's daughter-in-law Natasha, and Angelina.
The children formed their own little circle. After dinner, everyone gathered in the living room to chat. After seeking permission from the Emperor, Xu Weixia cheekily made a video call to Old Father. As soon as the video connected, Xu Li appeared on screen, munching on sweet corn while eating instant noodles; the background suggested he was in the cafeteria.
"What’s going on?"
"Hehehe."
Seeing his son grinning from ear to ear, Xu Li's eyelids twitched uncontrollably as a thousand possibilities raced through his mind. Finally, with a hint of excitement, he asked, "Is Angelina pregnant?"
