"Young Master, your breakfast."
The nanny handed the tray to Xu Weixia, who was still getting used to standing up to receive it. "Thank you," he said.
This left the nanny momentarily stunned, staring blankly at Xu Weixia, still holding onto the tray. Xu Weixia looked back at her, blinking in confusion. "I can take it myself."
"Maria, you can go now," Yelena said, waving her hand to dismiss the nanny. Once she was gone, Yelena sat down across from Xu Weihua and said, "Nikola, you need to learn to enjoy life. At home, you shouldn't be so formal. You should be able to relax and let things come to you."
"I’m just not used to being waited on," he replied.
"Then you need to adapt," Alexander chimed in cheerfully as he urged him to eat. "Not many people are coming over tonight—just my dad and a few colleagues, along with my two sisters and their families. Aleksei and your sister-in-law will also be here, and then there's your brother Oleg and Kamila."
Xu Weixia took a sip of orange juice and looked at Angelina. "Didn’t you invite Yisha and the others? They’re around."
Angelina shook her head. "They’re all gossipers; it wouldn’t be suitable for them to come tonight. I’ll take them out for a meal another time."
"Oh," he nodded, choosing not to say more as he focused on his breakfast. He had to admit that the nanny's cooking was excellent—almost as good as that of chefs in high-end restaurants.
Meanwhile, Xu Weihua was driving Kamila through an upscale neighborhood, counting house numbers in search of his brother's rented mansion. When they finally found it, he pressed the doorbell but no one answered. He could only call: "Aren't you at the house yet? The banquet is tonight; we need to set things up quickly."
Sitting on the sofa, watching a dozen nannies and gardeners bustling about, Xu Weixia smacked his lips. "That place isn’t needed anymore. I’ll give you an address; just bring Kamila over. Remember, it’s just you two."
"Got it," Xu Weihua replied before hanging up. He opened his mouth to take the cup Kamila handed him and sipped some jasmine tea. Soon after seeing the new address, his eyes widened in shock. "Wow! Is my brother crazy this time? How much does it cost to rent a place in Rublyovka for a day?"
"No way!" Kamila leaned over to look at the address too. They exchanged glances, both falling silent as they processed what they saw. Kamila quietly asked, "Are we going or not?"
"Of course we’re going!" Xu Weihua nearly gritted his teeth as he spoke. "We have to help him out! A mansion in Rublyovka? That’s right in the center of the wealthy district! The daily rent alone would be enough for that foolish kid to drink a barrel of wine! Not to mention labor costs and wear and tear—just thinking about it makes my scalp tingle."
Kamila had rarely seen her boyfriend look so pained; it must really be expensive!
The pale pink car drove along the inner ring of Rublyovka, passing by police checkpoints that made them feel uneasy. Soon enough, they entered the affluent area and navigated through it for a while before finally stopping in front of an expansive mansion that occupied a large area of land.
"Did we come to the wrong place?" Oleg asked quietly, holding onto the string of a balloon with his right hand while cradling a beautifully wrapped gift box.
Kamila stood beside Xu Weihua, glancing at the busy gardeners and nannies at the entrance. Xu Weihua smiled and replied, "There's no mistake. Let's go inside."
