There’s something I want to discuss with you, Dad. 0

After dinner, Xu Li lit a cigarette and, with it in his mouth, led Andrei outside to the yard. Their two daughters were growing bigger by the day, and he was concerned about secondhand smoke being harmful to the fetus. "I want to settle the kids in Huaxia," he said. 0

Xu Li took a slow drag from his cigarette. "In less than a month, it will be our Qingming Festival. I want to take Anna and Eva to my mom's grave to pay respects, to let her know I've found two beautiful daughters-in-law for her, so she doesn't have to worry about me. I'm doing well." 0

Andrei grinned. "I thought it was something serious. You're the father; you have every right to choose your children's nationality. But with Anna's belly getting bigger, is it convenient for her to go to Huaxia?" 0

"I want Mom to come with us. As for things at home..." 0

"I'm here for that," Andrei waved his hand dismissively. "Tomorrow, let's go to Irkutsk together and have Ivan help with the visa and everything else. We can also stop by the registration office and take a new photo of Anna; that one you have looks a bit awkward." 0

"Uh, that's not my fault; it's Brother-in-law's lack of connections. Can I be blamed for that?" 0

Early the next morning, when Andrei drove out, Xu Li's eyes nearly popped out. "Dad, can this car even be registered?" 0

"Don't make a fuss; we don't have such strict rules here. I paid a hefty price for this car," he replied, patting Xu Li on the back. "Get in; let's prepare the inside." 0

"Alright!" 0

He grabbed two blankets from the house and laid them in the trunk, then added some cushions before helping Anna and Eva into the car. His mother-in-law brought a lot of things with her: four beef shanks and two slabs of tough pork were stuffed into the compartment between the driver's seat and the trunk. 0

There were also several boxes of sour cucumbers and peppers that his mother-in-law had pickled herself, meant for Ivan and Yuri's family. This was typical for ordinary families like Da Mao's; young couples living in the city always received as many pickled vegetables and potatoes as possible from their elders during visits, which helped them save a significant amount on living expenses. 0

After staying at Ivan's family for about a week, Xu Li noticed that their home was filled with snacks from Huaxia and some small toys stacked in boxes against the wall. Yuliya happily said, "Natasha and I opened a little shop diagonally across from our school. You wouldn’t believe how well business is doing! We're worried we won't have enough stock, so we always order more; if there's no room in the shop, we just bring it home." 0

"Sister-in-law, I want that!" Eva eagerly pointed at a stack of Wang Wang Milk boxes nearly as tall as herself. Yuliya chuckled and handed her two cans. "Share one with Anna." 0

"Okay!" 0

The little girl happily took her milk to the bedroom. Later that evening, when Ivan arrived, he handed a folder to Xu Li. "Everything's taken care of; I've signed you up for travel—three months should be enough time. Even if it's not enough, your sister definitely can't fly with her big belly." 0

"Thank you, big brother." 0

Xu Li took the folder with a grin that made him look like an awkward fool. 0
