The Emperor hurried over, concern etched on his face.
In a gentle voice, he asked, “Mu Wan, are you alright?”
Mu Wan's eyes turned red as she replied, “Father…”
The Emperor nodded reassuringly. “I’m here.”

She was dragged away, crying and pleading.
