Without wasting time, I accepted the order! I put my phone aside and used voice control to see how smart this thing really is. The order was successfully placed; no time to dawdle, I quickly cast my line and started the timer! For the first order, my service attitude had to be top-notch; I needed to catch a few big fish, or else who would come to me for fishing in the future?
Liu Lei never imagined he would one day be at the mercy of artificial intelligence. Setting up my gear, I cast my rod, and the timer began. The customer logged in, able to watch Liu Lei's live streaming directly from social media, and since he was paying, they could interact via voice.
Fishing commenced; the three of us—two people and one AI—were chatting away while a crowd gathered at the booth to watch. Liu Lei received an order, and immediately Shi Tian got one too. They were no longer just after a few fish; they were simply here to play around with artificial intelligence.
"Tian Ge, we have an order!" It was a small ten-dollar order. "Should we not take it?" A Black Sea Bream was reeled in, and suddenly Shi Tian's phone buzzed, leaving him stunned.
"Accept it! We can't let a rare order slip by!" There was no time to admire the fish; he rushed behind the tripod to check his phone and quickly accepted the order.
What if he waited until the fish was on? If he accepted the order now, that fish would belong to someone else! This AI was quite considerate of Shi Tian's situation.
"Accepted! This prompt was added by Shi Tian specifically to avoid disputes."
The order was confirmed. "Xiao Huihui, you’re in for a treat this time! Our boss just caught a big fish, and it’s still on the hook—this one’s yours!"
Glancing at his phone, Shi Tian quickly reeled in the line. A Black Sea Bream weighing over half a pound came up, which he tossed into the fish bucket before finally greeting the camera.
Before he could finish his greeting, the AI interrupted again.
"A big Black Sea Bream weighing 325 grams! Xiao Huihui, remember to prepare scallions and ginger; this fish can be steamed, braised, or stewed. Do you need me to search for some recipes? Just tip me ten or eight bucks, and I’ll gather a few of the highest-rated recipes for you!"
Wow, it even had a chat feature! Listening to the back-and-forth conversation coming from his phone, Shi Tian cast his rod again and quickly sent a message about Didi Fishing Service going live into their group chat. He also made an announcement on Smart Rod Software with a pop-up!
After more than half an hour passed, Shi Tian realized that these people weren’t here for him to fish for them; they were simply there to play with artificial intelligence. For half an hour straight, they hadn’t stopped talking.
The float dipped black; as he lifted his rod this time, he finally hooked a big one. Releasing tension quickly as line peeled off, Shi Tian held onto his rod without rushing. He let it exert its strength for a bit before reeling it in.
"Boss! They’ve hooked a big fish over there! The rod is bent into a circle!" Just as Shi Tian hooked his fish, a server from Little Lobster Shop rushed downstairs to report to Old Zhang.
This had become routine; everyone knew Old Zhang loved fishing. Whenever someone caught a big fish, Old Zhang would rush out to watch for half the day and sometimes even take his rod out to fish himself.
"Bent into a circle? Is there really such a big fish over there?" Hearing about the big catch, Old Zhang leisurely walked out from behind the cash register. He went upstairs and peered through the window just in time to see Shi Tian returning with a big catch!
"Keep an eye on the shop; I’m stepping out!" He told the manager as he changed clothes in the warehouse. Grabbing his rod, Old Zhang headed straight across.
