With a single sentence, he walked past Kang Ziyu, who was still in shock, and lightly tapped her shoulder, whispering, "Don't forget to collect the big Red Envelope."
As Shi Tianyi left, Kang Ziyu immediately snapped back to reality, her eyes sparkling as she rushed towards Hu Shuyi, extending her small hand. "Mom, it's Xiao Tian's token of appreciation. This is a matter of sincerity; if it’s less than expected, it’s significant!"
Hu Shuyi was momentarily stunned. Wasn't this supposed to be free? Now they were asking for money right in front of Yun Wan'er and Lu Ying Er? This money had to be given! But what did she mean by "less than expected"? And what about that surname?
Exiting the courtyard, the door to the neighboring yard was locked. After a quick phone call, Yi Laotou soon emerged from Lu Wei Dang.
"What are you bringing back? There's no room for fish at home, and now you want to carry more!" Yi Laotou glanced at the bag in Shi Tian's hand, sniffed the air, and pulled out his keys to unlock the door, leading Shi Tian into the yard.
Having returned from Zhoushan, Shi Tian could smell the fishy scent from the bag. Without a doubt, it was seafood. What seafood could come from Zhoushan? Large Yellow Croaker? There were still a few in the fridge!
"Master, this is something special! Yesterday I went digging with Xiao Yu at Xiu Shan. Do you recognize it?" Shi Tian said playfully as he entered the house and presented the bag to Yi Laotou.
"Dug up from Xiu Shan? Mudskipper or Wang Chao?" Yi Laotou paused at Shi Tian's words. There was no way Shi Tian brought back two bags of Pipi Shrimp from Xiu Shan; the only notable seafood that could be dug up there would be Jumping Fish or Wang Chao!
Yi Laotou quickly guessed what it was, and his expression shifted slightly. Could he not cooperate a bit better?
Thinking about it, Thirty-Six Senior Sister specialized in seafood; Zhoushan was her territory. It wasn’t surprising that she would send something to Yi Laotou.
"Indeed it’s Wang Chao! You’ve got some good stuff here! I’ll show you some skills tonight!" Yi Laotou exclaimed as he opened the bag and inspected a Wang Chao before putting it into the soft freezer compartment of the fridge. Tonight they would enjoy it with drinks!
"This bag is filled with Jumping Fish that I caught myself. When you have time, I’ll take you out for some fun; fishing for these is quite interesting." Shi Tian invited as he handed another bag of Jumping Fish to Yi Laotou.
It would be quite amusing to take a few old men out to play in the mud; sneaking some photos when they were all covered in dirt would make for great blackmail material.
After placing the items down, they grabbed a few cans of drinks and followed Yi Laotou into Lu Wei Dang. These old men were quite capable; the little paths inside were all interconnected—how many Fishing Spots had they opened up?
They crawled through a grassy hole and emerged into a clearing with five Fishing Spots lined up. Three old men and Shi Chui were casting their lines; it was obvious that the empty spot belonged to Yi Laotou.
Old Wen lifted his rod and caught a Xiao Tiao. He unhooked it and tossed it aside when a small head popped out from the grass and snatched up the Xiao Tiao before disappearing back into the thicket. Seeing this made Shi Tian’s scalp tingle, prompting him to step aside quickly.
"Old man, you really know how to have fun! Have you raised a snake here?"
He had seen that little head clearly—it was undoubtedly a snake—but he wondered if it was venomous.
However, seeing Ke Ge standing by without any reaction suggested it might be non-venomous. If it were poisonous, even if Old Wen wanted to keep it alive, Ke Ge would have dealt with it by midnight.
"A beautiful snake—non-venomous! Once it's grown up, we can stew it for a pot of soup; I’ll invite you over for snake soup!" Old Wen casually remarked as he baited his hook again, making Shi Tian want to flee.
Who cared if it was poisonous or not? Just looking at that thing made his scalp crawl! Even if it were harmless, having such a creature nearby made it hard to focus on fishing!
