After a quick rinse, it was already dark when I returned to the hotel. After showering and changing clothes, I hurried to the Fishing Tackle Shop, where the Mini Light Boat made a stop.
At the seaside, I took a glance and saw a group of people in high spirits, each with a Lure Rod in hand, while an old man was weighing the fish he had caught.
I asked Sun Lang for the keys and opened the yacht. First, I needed to deal with the haul I had worked hard to dig up all afternoon. There was no way I would share these with them later; they were too precious!
Catching Wang Chao was no easy feat, and eating it was just as challenging. This fish needed to be salted and massaged for over half an hour; otherwise, it would turn out chewy instead of crispy when cooked.
Of course, it could be cooked without salting, but that would yield a completely different texture. The younger crowd didn’t mind the chewy version, but Shi Tian was simply curious about the difference between salted and unsalted.
Shi Tian busied himself preparing Braised Wang Chao while Li Ziyu steamed rice. Taking advantage of the group busy fishing, they planned to sneak a taste before anyone else.
“Are you two really cooking for dinner? Do you need help?” Sun Lang pushed open the cabin door and came over to check.
“No, it’s still early for dinner!” Shi Tian quickly covered the pot to prevent him from catching a whiff of the aroma; otherwise, he wouldn’t leave them alone.
“The fishing is good; there are plenty of species. The common Sea Bass Shark is the main catch tonight, along with Ribbonfish, Squid, Large Yellow Croaker, Xiao Huang Yu, and Huang Gu Yu. Occasionally, we also catch Stone Bass, True Sea Bream, and Yellowfin Snapper, but Shi Ban isn’t plentiful.”
“This season mainly targets Fishing Group species; everything else is just extra.” Sun Lang grabbed a bottle of soda from the fridge and recalled his own catches; there were quite a variety of colorful fish.
“Having many types makes it interesting.” Seeing Sun Lang drink water made Shi Tian thirsty too. He took out another bottle of soda and took a sip before speaking: “In a few days, there’s a Fishing Gear Expo in Tianjin. You should tell Xiao Feng to bring more Hooks to spread some warmth.”
“After that, we can rent a booth—not for Rods or anything else—just for Fish Hooks. We’ll set up a few phones logged into Smart Rod Software and display two large screens to promote Smart Rod Software.”
“Recently, several major Fishing Gear brands have been quite aggressive; we should keep a low profile. After all, putting up a sign isn’t easy; we should leave some room for others to survive instead of wiping them out completely.”
“If Xing Brand joins the Price War, it won’t last more than three months. Regardless of domestic or foreign brands, only Guang Wei will likely survive in the domestic market.”
“This kind of thing is not good for anyone; making money together is what makes it worthwhile. Wiping them out won’t benefit us at all—it’ll just lead to criticism and could even affect Old Kong’s plans.”
“No promotion for Rods? Just handing out Fish Hooks? Renting a booth just for advertising?”
“Got it; I’ll arrange that right away.” Hearing Shi Tian discuss serious matters made Sun Lang immediately shift into work mode.
“What’s the rush? Call Xiao Feng to give him a heads-up about the Fishing Gear Expo. We can discuss serious matters tomorrow—give him some time to prepare! And remember to tell Oka and the others that dinner will be served promptly at ten tonight.”
