They loaded the car, dragging Old Zhou who was holding his fishing net down to the riverside, claiming that Kang Ziyu loved to eat One Pot, Three Provinces, and Kong Yunfei would definitely enjoy it too. They had to go to Changsha and cook a pot for him.
To ensure Kong Yunfei tasted the authentic One Pot, Three Provinces, the ingredients had to be fresh and original! So why wait? They headed straight to the river to catch some fish.
"Uncle Zhou, have you made any progress after working for a few days?" Shi Tian casually asked as he watched Old Zhou cast his net.
"Pretty good! In a couple of days, the renovations will be done. Once we get everything set up in the kitchen and arrange the tables and chairs, we can start business," Old Zhou replied.
These past few days, Old Zhou had been quite diligent. Aside from cooking, he had been busy following Aunt Huang around. However, the results were not quite satisfactory; Old Zhou's culinary dreams were still a long way off!
Just working hard wasn’t enough. With so many people around in the shop, what could they talk about? They needed to create opportunities for some alone time!
Shi Tian reminded Old Zhou that he was even harder to manage than Sun Lang! At least Su Xueyi had a soldier boyfriend plotline, but Old Zhou? He started off by stealing someone’s chicken—how could anyone have a good impression of him?
"You all know how to cook. After a busy day, why not invite Aunt Huang to share some cooking experiences?"
Aunt Huang seemed quite interested in One Pot, Three Provinces. I intentionally didn’t teach her this dish; if you invite her to give you some pointers, she might be tempted to learn!
When cooking, make sure not to explain too much. Once the dish is ready, serve it with a bottle of red wine. In the quiet of the night, chatting for a few hours would be no problem!
As the wine flows and they get a bit tipsy, prepare a bouquet of red roses. Aunt Huang has probably never received roses before; presenting her with a bouquet would be far more effective than a month’s worth of hard work!
I’ve kept all these ideas in mind, but when it comes to Kang Ziyu, I can’t seem to put any of them into practice.
Since this is an auxiliary skill, I might as well give it to Old Zhou!
Old Zhou was just waiting for business to start. However, the little money he had wouldn’t cover the initial operating costs of the shop. Before that happened, Shi Tian needed to leave him some funds.
Shi Tian left Old Zhou ten thousand yuan and instructed him to keep an eye on his and Kang Ziyu's little nest while carrying several pounds of Huang La with him as he headed off with Kang Ziyu to catch the high-speed rail.
Waving goodbye as Shi Tian and Kang Ziyu's car turned the corner, Old Zhou leaned closer to Aunt Huang and said, "Sister, do you have time tonight? I think I still need some help with getting that One Pot, Three Provinces right. Can you give me some pointers after you're done tonight?"
Old Zhou had memorized everything Shi Tian told him by the riverside. He was ready to put it into practice immediately.
"Tonight? No need! I’ll have time at noon; I can come over then and help you out!"
It would be perfect for Old Zhou to show off his culinary skills in front of her. After stealing Shi Tian's cooking techniques and then learning from Old Zhou’s skills, she would surely make her restaurant successful.
Old Zhou thought: This doesn’t sound quite like what Shi Tian said! Wasn’t she supposed to agree right away?
One afternoon versus one evening—the effectiveness would drop significantly!
"What’s wrong? Not willing?" Aunt Huang smiled inwardly as she looked at Old Zhou. The incident with Duck was still fresh! Now with Kang Ziyu around—let’s see how I’ll deal with you!
"Of course! I'm definitely willing! I'll go catch some fish right now, and I'll call you when I'm ready!"
With that promise, Old Zhou turned and ran off. He needed to quickly seek advice from Shi Tian; this was far too different from the script Shi Tian had given him!
Time was of the essence, and he couldn't afford to worry about Shi Tian being with Kang Ziyu anymore.
