"Why don't you go down and remove the hook? This is your territory, and the fish are familiar with you. They will surely be gentle with you!"
So far, there have been no recorded incidents of Whale Sharks harming anyone. But looking at that massive mouth, Shi Tian couldn't help but think about cutting the line.
However, cutting the line has its own considerations. The shorter the line is cut, the better. If the Bait Cage is left for the Whale Shark and it accidentally swallows it, the sea won't help retrieve foreign objects from its stomach.
Go down to remove the hook? Pingtou Ge wasn't interested in that! He turned back to the cabin and soon fashioned a large hook-removing tool out of steel wire. He tied it to the Fish Spear rod and had Shi Tian tighten the line. With a strong flashlight in hand, Pingtou Ge began to poke into the fish's mouth.
Surprisingly, it worked quite smoothly!
He poked the leading line into the Whale Shark's mouth, and before the Whale Shark could struggle, he actually managed to pull it out! The little Whale Shark seemed a bit embarrassed!
As he retrieved the hook, he thought it wouldn't be fair to keep them playing for so long. He tossed a few dead small fish from the bucket at his feet towards the Whale Shark's mouth—this should settle things!
The gift was given; whether it ate or not was up to it. At least his intentions were clear!
Having a Whale Shark around wasn't unusual; there had been instances where Whale Sharks swam with tourists at Wuzhizhou Island. So catching one here was quite normal.
However, at this time of year, Whale Sharks should be migrating towards the South China Sea! They should be heading towards the Philippines or Indonesia; what was this one doing still here? This Whale Shark was too small and inexperienced; it must have either fallen behind or run away from home!
With evening approaching, there was no point in fishing anymore. Pingtou Ge stretched his sore arms and watched as their little Whale Shark lazily floated by the boat. After catching Xiao Yu earlier in the morning, he felt he needed to make amends! If he didn't fill this little guy's belly, it wouldn't plan on leaving!

After grabbing a drink from the cabin, he walked to the helm to check their current coordinates—it was time to head back for the night!
"Man Cang Hao, this is Shi Tian. Let's meet up at four in the morning for an overnight stay." After finishing his drink, Shi Tian picked up the radio.
Upon hearing Shi Tian's call over the radio, Shui Bi Zhang quickly dove into the cabin and took over the radio from Man Cang.
"Tian Ge, how big is that fish? Did you bring it up?"
Man Cang Hao was a bit far from Mini Air Force and couldn't see clearly; all he saw was a group of people gathered at the Stern without knowing what they were doing!

Shi Tian didn't mention how big the fish was; he simply told Shui Bi Zhang that it was a Whale Shark, leaving him with endless possibilities for imagination.
"What? A Whale Shark! You caught a Whale Shark!"
Hearing Shui Bi Zhang's surprised exclamations made Shi Tian put down the radio and step out of the cabin—he wanted to let him be astonished for a moment first!
As soon as he stepped out of the cabin, he saw Shi Chui running towards the Stern with half a bucket of Xiaomi in hand. Suddenly, Shi Tian's head buzzed with excitement!
"Old Master, we still need to fish for another two or three days! You fed Xiaomi with fish; what are we going to use to catch fish tomorrow?"
The Antarctic Shrimp isn’t expensive, but it can’t withstand Shi Chui’s kind of feeding! Before heading out to sea, we calculated the amount. If Shi Chui and the others keep dumping buckets of food for the Whale Shark, we might as well turn back!
"Brother Shi, it’s fine! Just bring it over later. I have some stock; a couple of boxes will be enough for you!" Shi Chui was taken aback, and Pingtou Ge immediately encouraged him. Then Shi Tian saw several people tossing shrimp into the sea by handfuls!
Back in the cabin, he reminded them, pushed the throttle, and set sail!
Let’s see who swims faster—the Whale Shark or the boat! The little Whale Shark is too friendly; in the sea, its biggest enemy is the boat. If it gets used to this behavior and approaches the boat every time it sees it, it won’t be long before it meets its demise!
They anchored at the outskirts, casually prepared a few dishes at one end of the boat, enjoying the sea breeze while sipping beer. Xiao Ri Zi felt relaxed again.
