Waking up from a deep sleep, it was yet another beautiful day. After chatting with Li Ziyu yesterday, Shi Tian began considering the logistics warehouse project in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. This was quite a troublesome matter; he simply couldn’t find the right person for the job!
He could have Shi Chui help him set up a logistics warehouse over there, but that wouldn’t solve the problem. Shi Chui couldn’t possibly stay there for too long. While it would be easy for him to build a warehouse, they would still need someone to manage it once it was completed!
Shi Tian had thought about forming a management team to oversee these matters. However, given the current scale of his two or three small shops, it didn’t seem worth the effort. He decided to consult with the Old Shi Family group for advice! Shi Ye should have the most experience in such matters. Despite what Shi Ye claimed about investing all his earnings from the past years into that villa area, who would believe that? Anyone who did would be a fool!
The villa area might be Shi Ye’s most valued asset because it represented his promise to Lu Ying Er. However, aside from that villa area, he probably had dozens of overseas ventures. He couldn’t believe that three people could stay abroad for months just to make a quick buck; quick money in Africa wasn’t that easy to earn!
Where were Jun Ge and Lu Ge? Coming out of his room, Air Force One was sitting on the sofa playing on his phone, just waiting for Shi Tian to come and feed him! Last night at the Water Market, they had spent half the evening selling fish and then treated themselves to some skewers under the pretense of paying for a stall fee. In the end, they ended up with a deficit of sixty; he had no idea what they had eaten.
They found someone to renovate the shop and left before dawn! Air Force One put away his phone and said to Shi Tian: “Hurry up and cook! I’m starving! After we eat, we can go fishing at the Lancang River.”
Last night, while enjoying grilled skewers and chatting about interesting stories on the road, their relationship progressed quite quickly; they had even added each other as friends. If they could sell fish for a few more days and have dinner together a couple more times, by the time Lu Ya finished renovating the shop, he figured they would have talked about life and dreams—this tactic was indeed effective!
Shi Tian rolled his eyes at Air Force One, feeling somewhat speechless. For brotherhood, one could endure pain; for women, one could betray brothers—these two had truly embodied that saying!
Winning meant losing; losing meant winning! Did he really think Lu Ya was simply focused on the shop's renovations? That guy was probably waiting for them to open up shop so he could take advantage of being close by!
After hastily preparing some breakfast, he grabbed his gear and headed down to the Lancang River. Fortunately, Last Rod Brother hadn’t fished all night; otherwise, their home would soon resemble a lush green pasture!
He wanted to avoid yesterday's fishing spot as Lu Ya’s comments had left him feeling disgusted; it was best to steer clear of that place! Walking along the Lancang River downstream, he found a cove where he moved a stone aside and took out two earthworms to continue fishing.
Unfortunately, all he encountered today were old men fishing—not exactly what he had hoped for! It was still early; he decided to fish for a while longer and wait for a suitable target before making any decisions.
With an earthworm baited on his hook but not setting up any ground bait, he cast his line. It seemed like he would need to buy some Old Three Items soon; that way he could look more like an actual fisherman.
The Lancang River had already been overrun by Lophius; they were everywhere! As soon as you cast your line, you’d be bothered by them incessantly. Tilapia originated from Africa; they were like carp from that continent. He wondered who had brought them back here out of boredom—they quickly took over much of China and caused havoc in southern waters.
As he reeled in his line, he caught a palm-sized Lophius. Here, catching such small fish felt like getting slapped twice!
Bullying a catfish was pointless. With a symbolic slap, he tossed it aside, letting it lie on the beach behind him to reminisce about the sunlight of the African savannah, before casting his line again.
Glancing at Shang Yan's Air Force, Shi Tian felt somewhat speechless. This guy had gone crazy; in order to sell more fish at night and have dinner with Xiao Zhuang, he was throwing bait into the water like it was free. One carp after another came up, and it seemed that Xia Yan wouldn’t catch any carp within a hundred meters today, which made Shi Tian consider changing his fishing spot!
As the bobber dipped, it was likely another Lophius! He decided not to promote his rod today; once this fish was reeled in, he would trade it for a new fishing spot instead of getting frustrated with the Lophius here!
He lifted the rod and stumbled; Shi Tian nearly got dragged into the water by the fish on the line!
Damn! A big fish! Can a worm really catch something this large?
Were there big fish in the Lancang River? Indeed, there were—Big Carp, Big Grass Carp, and even Qing Cao Lian Yu among others, along with some local fish species whose names he couldn’t recall.
A fish strong enough to make him stumble couldn’t be small. Although he initially thought it was just a little Lophius unexpectedly lurking in there, he was no longer the weakling he used to be; even a hundred-pound tuna hadn’t made him this flustered before.
He swayed left and right, trying to use the figure-eight method to tire out the fish while raising the rod a bit more!
Jun Ge, come help me! Get the Loss Prevention Rope! Otherwise, you’ll have to fish me out of the river!
Shouting that, he had already waded into the water. He had no choice; he couldn’t keep the rod upright. The fish on the hook was too strong; if he didn’t raise the rod soon, it would be dangerous!
This wasn’t a customized rod, and the line on it was just standard. Although the hook wasn’t small, with such force, snapping the line or breaking the rod would be an everyday occurrence!
