He was stunned. Just like that, it was stewed? He had only raised it for two days! Every time he saw customers in the store snapping photos of the Mouse Grouper in the tank with their phones, he would proudly tell them that he had caught that fish himself. He had only been out at sea for less than a day, and in a moment of distraction, it had been stewed by Yun Wan'er!
What are you spacing out for? It's time to eat! Seeing Shi Tian standing there in a daze, Head Brother patted him on the shoulder after showing off with Air Force and the others.
"My Mouse Grouper was stewed by my mom!" The phone slowly slipped into his pocket as Shi Tian said dejectedly, mechanically heading towards the top of the boat.
Mouse Grouper? What is that? Behind Shi Tian, Head Brother asked in confusion, worried that Shi Tian might accidentally fall down the stairs.
A four-pound eight-ounce Mouse Grouper, caught just the day before yesterday and raised for only two days before my mom stewed it! Sitting down on a chair, Shi Tian let out a long sigh. When would he be able to catch another Mouse Grouper?
These two Sea Red Spots were hopeless; they were deep-sea fish and could only be raised for three to five days at most. There was no way they could be kept as long as a Mouse Grouper. Other fish that could rival the Mouse Grouper were already on the list, and their looks couldn't compare either! Catching another Mouse Grouper? It wasn't that easy!
"You caught a wild Mouse Grouper the other day? That's such a pity!" Head Brother lamented after downing a drink. "If I had known, I would have swung by your shop yesterday. That big wild Mouse Grouper would definitely have bitten! Why didn't you mention it when we met yesterday?"
Hearing this, Shi Tian shot an angry glare at Head Brother. "Did you dare to bring it up yesterday? If you had, you would have snatched it and thrown it into the pot!"
Given how familiar Head Brother was with Mini Air Force, he must have some special connection with Shi Ye and the others. If he had known that Shi Tian caught a wild Mouse Grouper, there was no way that fish would have made it through the night!
"Ye Ge and the others are coming next week. They asked me to tell you to prepare four sets of Boat Rods with reels! When they come, they’ll take you fishing for big fish!"
Upon hearing that Shi Ye and the others were coming, Shi Tian finally perked up. Four sets of Boat Rods? They must be increasing their order! He thought he’d wait until they arrived to discuss it further.
Shi Tian actually missed Shi Ye and the others a bit; those three knew how to have fun. Hanging out with them would make life much more enjoyable!
Four sets of Boat Rods? With reels? They might as well sell him off! If those reels were so easy to make, he would have sold them for money already! After dismissing Head Brother's comment, Shi Tian began to feel excited.
It seemed like he needed to get started early; play one more day tomorrow, finish fishing for Zao Kou the day after, then let Old Lin open the online store and hand it over to Yun Wan'er. After that, he could live freely with Ye Ge!
Shi Tian's words gave Head Brother a headache. If this Rod and Air Force were in Shi Ye's hands, he wouldn't hesitate to snatch them away and run. But hearing Shi Tian’s words now brought up Shi Ye again; it seemed like this Rod—especially this Wheel—wasn't going to happen.
If he didn’t get it, he wouldn’t be able to Xia Shou snatch it away; that would be too regrettable!
After pouring Shi Tian another drink, Head Brother thought for a moment and said: "If you’re not going to get them, then sell them at a higher price. Things are valuable because they are rare; you can mark up your purchase price! You don’t need to worry about sales; I can help you sell ten or eight sets. Having been here for so long, I still know a few Fishing Buddies who aren’t short on cash!"
If he couldn’t forcefully snatch them away, then he’d have to use his wits! He’d help Shi Tian figure something out to see if they could get their hands on some stock. As long as there was stock available, everything else could be arranged!
Head Brother’s suggestion did pique Shi Tian’s interest; however, money alone wouldn’t solve everything—money couldn’t buy Points either. He still needed to sell Hooks first!
"I’ll ask around!" This probably wasn’t something money could solve! Without rejecting Head Brother’s proposal, he left his two hundred thousand debt with Yi Laoyez in Head Brother's hands. If he could really help push out ten sets of Boat Rods, there was hope for him to pay off this debt this month.
After dinner, while no one was around, Head Brother slipped two coordinates to Shi Tian—these were all his Secret Fishing Spots.
However, this trip definitely couldn’t happen now. He could fish at this Fishing Spot himself but bringing those few along would be risky; if word got out, it would become a public Fishing Spot in no time and would be crowded with Fishing Boats within a month!
It was already past eleven when Head Brother sent them off. Watching Cong Jiang Xing untie the ropes and set sail, there was no doubt that those few had just been fishing at the Fishing Spot again. Even the lobsters had followed them onto the boat, and it seemed like their catch was going quite well!
In the span of a meal, Head Brother, Wang Ergou, and Oka each had a Dajinqiang in hand; they certainly wouldn’t let such a fishing opportunity slip away!
"Are we going to cast another line?" Head Brother glanced at Oka and Wang Ergou as Shi Tian asked.
At this point, there hadn’t been any bites, so let’s get some sleep! We need to wake up early tomorrow to head for Zao Kou! If they couldn’t sleep, they could fish for Squid here; it was definitely better than dealing with Da Gui over there!
Without thinking twice, Oka shot Shi Tian a look and went straight to the bow to tie up the ropes. They needed to get to bed early tonight since they would be waking up at five to rush to Zao Kou. Given the fishing conditions over there, it was quite possible they could catch two Tuna in the morning!
With that decision made, it was time to get some honest rest! No more Squid fishing; Old Lin was a novice and Da Gui Wang didn’t have much experience either. Shi Tian felt a bit uneasy about leaving those two on deck at night to fumble around.
Since there were no bites at this hour, let’s tidy up the deck and get some rest. We need to be up by five in the morning to head for that Fishing Spot and catch Zao Kou; if we don’t rest now, we might miss out on the fish tomorrow! He shouted from the deck, prompting everyone to start getting busy.
