Head Brother arrived twenty minutes earlier than Ma Zong. A few people had not caught a single fish, and now Head Brother was here. Several boxes of liquor were unloaded from the vehicle and skillfully carried onto the Mini Air Force, only to find that the ship's hatch was locked.
"Xiao Tian, open the door! I need to bring in the liquor!" After shouting, Shi Tian reeled in his rod and stared blankly at the boxes of Moutai on board.
"Head Brother, are you here to work or to drink? With so much liquor, do you plan to party on stage?"
Shi Tian was equally speechless. What was Head Brother trying to do? A bottle or two would suffice to whet their appetites, but bringing this much on board—was he planning to get drunk at sea?
"Just send me three or five bottles to satisfy my cravings; the rest can stay on the ship for you all to drink!" As Shi Tian opened the ship's hatch, Head Brother immediately began moving box after box of liquor inside.
Shi Tian was impressed! Previously, when he asked Air Force to help bring liquor, they could barely manage to get one bottle up from a single box! This time, having gotten used to it, he brought so much that he realized he could have just brought one box.
With everyone gathered and having fished for half the day without a bite, it was time to eat. After a few drinks, Shi Tian suddenly remembered Oka.
"Brother, did Oka manage to get any goods last time? Is he not coming out to sea with you this time?" After downing three cups of liquor, Shi Tian casually asked.
He was also curious about Oka; although he wasn't particularly interested in fishing there, he was more excited about snorkeling in Xisha and spearfishing underwater.
He called Oka, but nothing had been settled on his end yet.
After finishing a drink, Scallion Ginger Fishy spoke up: "Last time the captain almost ran out of water and couldn't find any fish. After several days of effort, we only caught a few Zhang Hong. Yan Zai managed to catch quite a bit; our boat ended up with about ten Tuna. It was a total loss!"
A boat like that surely wasn't small; it started at several tons with over thirty Fishing Spots—some even had forty or fifty Fishing Spots.
With so many Fishing Spots and only catching ten Tuna, that captain must have been incompetent!
Catching Tuna isn't just about the Fishing Master’s skill; it's more about the captain's ability. A captain who can't find fish or scout them will leave even the best Fishing Master staring blankly!
Did he not inquire before going out? Who would rent such a boat? It was practically Da Gui!
As Scallion Ginger Fishy spoke, Lobster looked surprised. "A fishing boat like that can't just catch a few Tuna! That captain must be a rookie."
Considering fuel consumption, the captain would surely want the Fishing Masters on board to catch fish. The more fish they caught, the better their reputation would be, leading to more customers.
A new boat without much experience could gain notoriety after just one trip; it would be hard for them to fill it up again! Responding to Lobster, Scallion Ginger Fishy chuckled: "It's peak season now; they probably can't operate well. But if they do manage something this time out at sea, who knows what might happen!"
"Encounter them? Let's hope we don't! If we do see them, we should steer clear; otherwise, this rookie captain will definitely follow us around trying to steal our Fishing Spots."
Fishing at sea requires attention to wind and ocean currents. With such a massive vessel trailing behind them, they wouldn't just have to worry about losing fish but also constantly avoid collisions. A gentle nudge from such a large ship could easily capsize their small boats!
As they chatted happily, Oka arrived along with Da Gui Wang. Hearing them discuss his trip made Oka feel frustrated and wronged: "That captain is hopeless! He can't even read a Fish Finder! When some of us tried to help him steer the boat, he didn't trust us at all. After several days out here, I think I've nearly starved those crabs from Xisha!"
After listening to him rant about the captain for half an hour, they finally got back on track: "Xiao Tian, how did you bring your boat over too? Are you going out to sea tomorrow?"
"Are you coming along tomorrow for a tour with friends?" Shi Tian casually asked as he raised a glass to Oka.
"Is there still room on your boat? I can help you steer it! Last time, I got so frustrated while fishing that I almost gave it up!" Oka's interest piqued at the thought of Shi Tian going out to sea.
Since Scallion Ginger Fishy’s boat was fully booked with guests, it was inconvenient for him to join. However, if Shi Tian's boat was also heading out, it would be more relaxed and free, making fishing much more enjoyable.
"There’s room! We can squeeze in a bit! We’re all friends, so it doesn’t matter!" Oka insisted, and Shi Tian quickly agreed. With Oka around, he wouldn’t have to work as hard; whether it was steering the boat or finding fish, Oka could handle it all!
"Alright then, I’ll join you on your boat tomorrow!"
Knowing that Shi Tian would be staying at the resort later, Ma Zong didn’t rush to find him. After spending time with the guests from Guangdong, Ma Zong finally found an opportunity to approach Shi Tian under the pretense of returning a toast.
"Xiao Tian, you’ve prepared the rod, right? We originally planned to go out in the afternoon, but Yang Zong and the others felt it wouldn’t be enough fun. So we’re heading out early tomorrow morning." After finishing his drink, Ma Zong moved closer to Shi Tian.
"It’s ready; I’ve already put it on your boat. Do you want me to show you?" As soon as he finished speaking, Shi Tian quickly stood up and asked Scallion Ginger Fishy for the keys to check the rod with Ma Zong.
