Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er were both people of refinement, and they certainly paid attention to appearances.
Just past eleven, the two arrived fashionably late. After greeting a few elderly gentlemen, they began unloading items from the trunk of the ride-hailing car. A canopy was set up, a folding table was arranged, and dishes were placed on the table, along with several chairs—this was precisely why they had called for two ride-hailing cars!
The elderly gentlemen remarked that it was hot at noon and the fish weren’t biting well, so they decided to have a light meal and rest before fishing again in the cooler afternoon. Shi Chui smiled slightly as he invited the old men to take their seats at the table.
“You’re being too polite! I heard from Xiao Tian that you also enjoy fishing? We fishermen don’t fuss over these things; we just need something simple to eat! Later tonight, I’ll personally prepare a couple of dishes so we can enjoy a few drinks together!” After exchanging pleasantries with Shi Chui, the elderly gentlemen took their seats.
However, before they could settle down, they noticed Shi Tian unloading Wo Liao from the ride-hailing car. The old men immediately stood up and rushed over to help, leaving Shi Chui at the table.
“Xiao Tian, your car is packed! I’ll have Xiao Liu bring his car over; let’s load these items into our vehicle!” As soon as they got involved, each elder grabbed two boxes of Wo Liao without needing to be asked, while the driver Xiao Liu drove over.
Once the electric trunk opened, Wo Liao was stuffed into the car—this much supply would last them for a month!
Shi Tian was still a bit inexperienced; he had originally thought he could open another fishing spot in the afternoon and cast a few lines in a corner. However, after lunch, he ended up serving drinks instead!
He first used the Diving Boat to replenish bait at each Fishing Spot. After checking with the Fish Finder, he found that the large Yu Jing he hadn’t caught in the morning had vanished without a trace; after circling around for quite some time, it seemed that it had moved on!
After replenishing the bait, his next task was to serve tea and water. The elders had quite an appetite for fishing, and Shi Chui’s enthusiasm matched theirs. By just past two o'clock, everyone returned to their posts.
Even Yun Wan'er had brought her Fishing Chair to one side, using a small rod to catch Bai Tiao first and then Carp, eventually upgrading her catch to a larger Carp—she was definitely at risk of getting hooked on fishing!
While managing logistics and guiding Yun Wan'er in her fishing endeavors, it became clear that there would be no chance for him to cast his own line that afternoon!
The evening feast came early today as Shi Tian brought a plate of Sweet and Sour Carp to the table. This fish had been caught by Yun Wan'er herself; Shi Tian owed her a set of Customized Rods. However, there was no rush—Yun Wan'er had high standards and insisted on personally designing the patterns. It would take at least ten days or even half a month before she finished her drawings!
The Wo Liao was prepared by Shi Tian; even though Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er had brought some along, it didn’t count as a meeting gift. For this meal, Yun Wan'er had specially selected a Zisha Tea Set for Yi Laotou; whether Yi Laotou would find it useful remained uncertain.
“Old man, you must save me a pack of Azure Wind Antelope later! Once I finish here, I need to head to Sanya to deal with some property matters. There’s Niu Shu Gorge over in Yangjiang; I’ve heard it’s full of Bighead Carp—I need to catch a couple!” After downing a drink, Shi Tian turned to Old Kong.
He had prepared a pack of Azure Wind Antelope for the elderly gentlemen; before he could even wait for them to respond, they had already divided it among themselves—fifteen packs each!
The effects of Azure Wind Antelope were impressive; in the morning Shi Tian had caught one Bighead Carp while the old men also made some catches. The afternoon bite improved even more; even Shi Chui managed to reel in one weighing over ten pounds. He spent more than ten minutes posing for photos with his catch while Yun Wan'er snapped pictures—he couldn’t help but curse under his breath!
Shi Tian wasn’t truly trying to extort Shi Chui or Yun Wan'er over a pack of Wo Liao; he simply wanted to find an enjoyable spot where he could invite some elderly gentlemen for another day of fishing.
Shi Tian’s plans were quite clever; however, Shi Chui wasn’t about to give him that opportunity!
“Tomorrow morning you should fly out with Old Yun—it’s urgent! Leave your car here; I’ll drive it for you!” Before Shi Tian could finish speaking, Shi Chui interrupted directly.
“Niu Shu Gorge has Bighead Carp? That makes things easier! Coming here just for a meal feels too rushed; let’s take these old gentlemen to Niu Shu Gorge for a few days of fishing instead—Yun Wan'er will definitely have no objections!”
With a single sentence, Old Kong's eyes lit up; this was Shi Chui's territory!
He had just learned a few tricks from Shi Tian today and was eager to head to Niu Shu Gorge to practice on that group of people, helping them set up a base and generously offering them some bait. The results were always a bit lacking when in front of Shi Tian, but with Shi Chui, there would be no problem!
"Your dad is right; it's crucial. We'll help you out at Niu Shu Gorge, and we'll definitely send you photos. Don't forget to like them!" With that said, he glanced at Shi Tian's frustrated face, and the old men burst into laughter. They would make sure to send Shi Tian plenty of photos, specifically targeting the big catches!
Speaking of which, Shi Tian also felt it was time to get serious. With the yard set up and money in hand, he needed to upgrade the Fishing Box and see what new items could be obtained!
Sigh! After that, he would go into seclusion for ten days without looking at his phone, just to see how smug they could get!
After lightly threatening a few people, Shi Tian thought for a moment: "Old man, over at Yun Fu, beneath the Xi River, the fishing there is quite good. Especially the Carp; they're stunning! You all can head to Yun Fu first and then move south to Yangjiang!"
