The beef meatball that fell into the clear broth immediately turned the surrounding soup red. Her face suddenly flushed with a rosy hue. 0

He Shuning felt extremely embarrassed and prepared to order another bowl to compensate the person. 0

The other party noticed her actions and quickly stopped her, finding it amusing. 0

"It's okay, no need, I just finished eating." With that, he picked up a tissue from the table to wipe his mouth and grabbed his coat, preparing to stand up. 0

He Shuning felt utterly speechless and hurriedly looked up to apologize to him again. 0

Lo Ye stood up, looking at the person still sitting across from him, who was holding a pair of chopsticks in her hand. She was still wearing the hood of her sports outfit, slightly tilting her head to look at him. The brightness of her eyes under the brim was striking, as if the surrounding lights had fallen into her pupils. The area around her mouth was stained with red sauce, yet she looked at him earnestly, apologizing and offering to compensate him for a bowl of Spicy Hot Pot. 0

"It's really okay, I just saw that they haven't gone back so late, so I'm taking care of the business for them. Take your time." He made his intentions clear and then left his seat to walk towards the stall. 0

"Mother-in-law, please settle the bill. It just so happens that I have a few friends who haven't eaten yet. Please pack a few portions for me, all with extra spice and numbing flavor." Lo Ye took out his phone and waited on the side. 0

"Oh young man, I only have three portions left, is that enough?" The mother-in-law was pleasantly surprised by this coincidence and quickly asked her granddaughter to prepare a takeout box. 0

Lo Ye leaned against a nearby lamppost, scrolling on his phone, and suddenly felt a gaze fall upon him. 0

He raised his head and met those bright eyes. 0

He Shuning's gaze flickered upon being discovered. 0

"Hey, I forgot to ask, do you need another bowl?" He raised his voice slightly, his voice particularly clear in the night, and his face under the light seemed a bit hazy, as if he were coated with a layer of light. 0

She was stunned, then realized he was asking her, and quickly shook her head to indicate she didn't need it. 0

But she saw him nodding and smiling slightly. 0

She busily lowered her head and continued eating the spicy hot pot in her bowl. 0

"Big brother, your Spicy hot pot is all ready." The three packed portions are neatly stacked together. 0

"Thank you, you guys. Go back early." He straightened up, settled the bill, and then picked up the Spicy hot pot to leave. 0

"Okay, big brother, goodbye," the little girl said with a bright smile, waving her hand. 0

Lo Ye nodded and said, "Goodbye," then walked towards the car parked nearby, placing the packed box on the driver's seat, intending to bring it back for Tongtong and the others. 0

Until she heard them say goodbye and felt that he had already left, He Shuning finally lifted her head to look around, confirming that he was gone. All she could see was the flower string in the little girl's hand, constantly changing. 0

She hurriedly finished the food in her bowl and got up to settle the bill. 0

"Sister, have you finished eating? You're so fast!" The little girl looked at the almost empty bowl on the table. 0

"Yes, I'm done. It was delicious. You should go back soon too, it's getting late." She knew what the man meant just now. 0

"Hey, we're heading back now; we've sold everything for today," the grandmother said with a smile while packing up the items at their stall. 0

He Shuning stood to the side, watching this scene, feeling a stir of emotions. She wasn't sure if it was because of the late hour and the sight of the grandmother and grandchild still working hard to make a living, or because of the stranger standing in the light, dressed entirely in black yet possessing a delicate sensibility. 0

She helped the little girl tidy up the tables and chairs next to her until the grandmother and granddaughter finished and were ready to leave. Then she opened the taxi app. 0

"Thank you, young lady. You should head back soon too. We're ready to go," the mother-in-law said, feeling a bit concerned seeing her alone. 0

"My car is about to arrive, you guys go ahead, take care." 0

"Okay, you take care too. Goodbye, little one, see you later, sister," the grandmother said as she placed the little girl in the front seat of the car. 0

"Sister, goodbye." Two twisted braids swayed on her shoulders. 0
