The old man did not nod, so Shi Tian could not join the group. However, the old man sent a message about Shi Tian to let his disciples know that there was such a junior brother.
Master Yi was quite competent, but his disciple was somewhat lacking. After reading a book titled "Yang Zhai San Yao," he had shown off his skills in the villa area but hadn’t used them since; now, they were gathering dust in his mind. Tying up a boat was also a skill. Just tying two ropes would suffice, but when a typhoon came, two ropes were hardly enough. For a boat like the Mini Air Force, which was forty feet long, at least seven or eight ropes were needed; if it were a sailboat, even more would be required!
However, Shi Tian was overthinking it. As soon as the Mini Air Force arrived at the Yacht Dock, someone contacted him via radio. The boat had its own designated berth right next to the Air Force, which was a small docking space.
As Shi Tian followed the small boat into the berth, a group of people came aboard to get busy. Because of the approaching typhoon, they had to cut off shore power, so most of the items in the cabin needed to be taken out and stored in the dock's warehouse.
Watching the group busy themselves with the Mini Air Force, just as Shi Tian was about to leave, the person in charge of directing the mooring hurried over and stopped him. “Shi Xian, we still need to use this boat key; we also need to tidy up things on the Air Force! This typhoon is quite serious! Some items need to be secured!”
Hearing this, Shi Tian finally understood that both the Mini Air Force and Air Force used the same set of keys! The Mini Air Force didn’t matter much, but he couldn’t just let this group handle the Air Force; he had to go aboard and supervise. At least he couldn’t allow outsiders into those few rooms belonging to Shi Ye.
Of course, even if he wanted to enter those rooms, he couldn’t; having just the key wasn’t enough; he also needed a password!
After fussing over both boats for another three or four hours, Wang Ergou’s car had been parked at the Yacht Dock all this time. Once they finished their tasks, four people waited for him in the car. The Bluefin Tuna that Head Brother had sent him was already arranged in their trunk.
He had promised Su Xueyi that he would treat her to Tuna Sashimi; now that he had caught a fish, how could he not show it off?
After some twists and turns, by the time they returned to the villa, it was already dark. He delivered the fish to the hotel’s cold storage for preservation; it needed to be frozen for a few days before eating since his small home refrigerators couldn’t accommodate such a large catch.
The Artificial Lake project had been completed. After several days of water accumulation, water levels in the Large Artificial Lake in the Back Area were beginning to take shape. As for the Front Area, it remained dry except for some rainwater accumulated over the past few days.
It was uncertain how long it would take for mountain spring water to fill both Artificial Lakes completely; however, there was no rush. With a typhoon approaching, rain would come soon enough. After several days of heavy rain, both Artificial Lakes would likely be full by then; at that point, they could stock them with fish!
While he didn’t have to oversee both Large Artificial Lakes, he had to take responsibility for his Small Artificial Lake. He opened the sluice gate to give the Azure Catfish some more room to move around.
Having been away for several days, there were noticeable losses among his Azure Catfish! Not to mention that several Bai Tiao in the water had clearly gained weight; it seemed their living conditions had improved over these past few days!
Shi Tian was quite satisfied with his haul from sea fishing: one Yellowfin Tuna weighing over a pound as a base catch along with some Zhang Hong and Red Snapper. Adding in all those Flying Fish and Huang Ji accounts brought nearly one hundred thousand dollars into his earnings—this income wasn’t any less than what he made from his Fishing Tackle Shop!
In good spirits now, he decided it was time to treat himself.
After finishing dinner, he set up a small table by the Small Artificial Lake with two cans of beer, a plate of flower seeds, a fishing chair, and a two-meter-seven telescopic rod equipped with a Seven Star Float and Number Two Sleeve Hook baited with Carp bait. He casually tossed it into the Small Artificial Lake.
This rod had been found in Shi Ye’s warehouse and hadn’t been used until now. Initially thought to be broken, upon further inspection he realized this was actually how it was designed—telescopic rods are expensive and not suitable for fishing big fish!
However, this is not absolute; big fish can also be caught, but it is not recommended to use a pole for that. Those who understand know what I mean!
Hearing that the beer was not finished, as soon as the Seven Star Float moved, I lifted the Rod in my hand, and a Bai Tiao swung up on the Hook!
I took a basin and filled it with water, tossed the Bai Tiao inside, switched to bait, and continued fishing. Tonight, I planned to catch all the Bai Tiao in there before calling it a day!
Once the beer was gone and I started feeling tired, I looked at the few Bai Tiao in the Artificial Lake that refused to bite. I felt a bit helpless!
Draining the water? Not necessary. I pulled out a small Ping Net and after a few casts, I had cleared out the Bai Tiao from the Small Artificial Lake. I even caught a few Azure Catfish that had come out to see what was happening!
It didn’t matter; fish are fish, whether they’re raised here or elsewhere. I carried the basin outside and dumped both fish and water into the Large Artificial Lake. On my way back, I dug up two nicely shaped Stone Calamus plants that had just been planted and transplanted them next to my Small Artificial Lake.
These plants prefer shade and moisture, so they could only be planted in spots that wouldn’t be exposed to direct sunlight. Whether they would survive depended on fate. However, since the water in the Artificial Lake was spring water with a lower temperature, there shouldn’t be too many issues.
After two days of participating in the Bait Contest, I had caught nearly ten Wan Ji. This was thanks to Oka and their friends who came together to support my competition. I was somewhat dissatisfied with this number.
It could be due to the holiday or perhaps because these fishermen had Fish Hooks that they wouldn’t use up in a year or two; their enthusiasm for participating in the Bait Contest seemed to have waned!
Most likely, it was because the pricing of Fishing Rods in the store was too low. Instead of spending two days trying to win a Fishing Rod through luck, it would be more practical to work an extra couple of days to buy one outright. After all, not everyone has the ability to catch over a thousand Bai Tiao in just four hours!
My Star Brand Fishing Rod has gained some recognition now, but it’s still not well-known enough. Whether it’s raising prices or limiting supply, both seem impractical at this stage. The Rods still need to be sold; once these Rods catch the attention of professional Fishermen and gain more recognition, it won’t be too late to raise prices!
